Tony's religion isn't really Christianity. Like most of the trannies, it's gnosticism.

Their "pure (insert gender here)" minds are separate from their "wrong/evil" bodies. They have special gospels that the rest of us don't have (advanced biology, which somehow negates basic biology), and like the gnostics of old, they would assign new meanings to words.

The gnostics also were obsessed with gender - God didn't have one, and humans originally in the Garden of Eden didn't have one either. Becoming androgynous was kind of a "life goal", returning you to humanity's original state. Their Gospel of Thomas ends with Jesus having to turn a woman into a man so she could have a soul worthy of heaven.

Take an old Christian heresy, remove the icky God parts, add a new priesthood with sacraments of surgical body modifications and pharmaceutical cocktails to transform you to what you were always "meant to be", and you got Troonery.

Gonna jump of off this post with some replies to it.

Ah, they're sticking to the old "non whites worshipped trans people until whitey came along" thing. Their third genders, like the muxe, universally applied to gay men. You could not live openly as a gay man; you had to take this gender role. They still knew what male and female were.

Second, he needs to stop with d'Eon. He had Klinefelter syndrome, and using him as a flex for trans rights is funny as women weren't even legal citizens then.

Falling off of his kayak and getting his dress wet would be the least of Tony's problems. I think falling into a natural body of water with a festering crotch wound could pose some issues. Just last year a kid in North Carolina, died of a brain eating amoeba swimming in a lake.
Agreed. Those poor amoebas don't deserve to have his rothole fouling up their home. Godspeed, little guys. Swim towards the light!

The sentiment is nice, but it's best to say the mind works in conjunction with the body and is still an anatomical structure affected by flesh. A simple one would be meth, which once ingested for a period of time will change the brain pathways and the mind. There's hundreds of conditions, both normal processes and abnormalities that show the mind and the body tend to be exchanging power often. A placebo effect shows mind over body while something like flora in your digestive system influencing disorders like depression shows body over mind. Their body is not their mind is for disregarding looks as basis of judgement, not a hard truth.

Exactly. The idea of what you want being something untouched by your physical self is bunk.

Your sex drive, hunger, thirst, energy are all influenced by hormones.

Your appetite can be, like you said, influenced by gut flora (some types can make you crave sugar more because they feed on it)

All kinds of "desires" and emotions are influenced by an inflammatory state in the body which causes sickness behavior (and note that most of us live in a permanent state of inflammation these days)

Repeated pleasurable experiences will cause your brain to strongly link the memory of those experiences with pleasure and the motivation to do those things again, via the infamous neurotransmitter dopamine. In some people this can play a role in addiction and addiction-like behaviors, whether it's to drugs or sissy porn or fanfiction about cute boys fucking each other. You'd think Erin would recognize this!

If you think your mind is always your untouched pure self, you’re going to just thoughtlessly follow any random whim that comes into your head with absolutely no reflection or consideration, and...

Huh. That explains quite a lot about these people, actually.

Like, in the past people used the "mind vs matter" way of thinking as a way of justifying conquering the body. That is an inaccurate (and sometimes unhealthy) way of thinking. But now the genderists and their cohort are saying “the body (and how I treat it and how it might affect me) doesn’t matter at all, because the first desire that comes into my mind is the best thing for me”

No wonder capitalism loves these people.

Between Tony and Kevin and all the other “trans girls” we chronicle, it’s pretty obvious that for a lot of ”trans women” it’s mainly an excuse to prolong or slip back into childhood or adolescence. All those years spent growing and maturing don’t count, because as we all know, basic standards of proper behaviour are radically different depending on what you’ve got between your legs. Tony has no choice but to party like a twenty one year old every June.

apparently 'partying like a 21 year old' has changed since I was 21

back then it didn't mean hanging out with a bunch of fellow losers and making sure to not get drunk incase it throws off your 'girly angle' for those all important social media pics

probably the closest experience tony has had to being actually female is like how when women go home and can take off their bra and relax, Tony can go home and stop holding that weird forced posture that he thinks makes him look girly, stop doing the weird lisp and relax

A reminder that the guy who did the first vaginoplasty had a long career afterwards as a Lutwaffe doctor.
Funny you should mention this.

there is an idea of a Erin Reed, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there. It is hard for me to make sense on any given level. Myself is fabricated, an aberration. I am a noncontingent human being. My personality is sketchy and unformed, my heartlessness goes deep and is persistent. My conscience, my pity, my penis disappeared a long time ago.

For some reason putting Patrick Bateman's monologues for lolcows never stops being funny. Works for so many of them.

It's funny that he wants to stop fascism, is researching stuff from Weimar Germany, but has never probably bothered to read anything about it but this troon shit.

Tony refuses to ever say what should be done so I have to make leaps in theory so I'm going to drift from him personally, usually people say things like how the solution to stop Nazis from regaining power is to outlaw Nazis, ban them from speaking, more government control of the press, etc. The punchline of course is that Weimar did all of this. The Nazi Party was outlawed, Hitler and others were personally banned from speaking in public, Hitler (and others) was infamously actually thrown in prison (to be fair, usually for actual no fooling crimes), etc. Weimar still collapsed into Nazi Germany even as the Nazis never won more than 37% of the vote once they were legalized and never held a majority coalition in the Reichstag. Even after gaining power they only got 44% of the vote and barely achieved a majority coalition in the only thing remotely close to a fair election, albeit one with plenty of pro-government violence.

So is the answer to stopping fascism maintaining democratic institutions or copying Weimar (ruling by decree, outlawing speech and controlling the press, paramilitary violence in the streets between partisan forces, sending eggs to trans bars, etc.)? I await Tony's TikTok on how to stop fascism for more details.

As the saying goes, "and then one day, for no reason at all..."
Berlin in the 1920s was known for its sexual libertine culture, as most big cities are. The difference was it was trying to hide the absolute damage and mega inflation from the First World War. It was, in effect, people drinking and fucking their sorrows away while ordinary Germans wondered whether they'd have food to eat.

Hirschfeld might've provided some interesting research but he was still a fucked up dude.

Ah, they're sticking to the old "non whites worshipped trans people until whitey came along" thing. Their third genders, like the muxe, universally applied to gay men. You could not live openly as a gay man; you had to take this gender role. They still knew what male and female were.

Hey hey, Albanian Sworn Virgins were a thing… and would be executed if they ever broke their vow of chastity.

Also, trans joy is such a fucking weird phrase.

So, Magnus Hirschfeld and his Institut für Sexualwissenschaft (Sexualwissenschaft variously translated into English by different sources as Sexual Research, Sexual Science, or Sexology). The history of sexuality is not one of my interests, even (as here) as a footnote in the history of fascism and Nazism specifically. Thankfully I've seen various informative points made about Hirschfeld and his institute and so I thought I'd collect them here as a response to Tony's video.

First, Tony's TikTok about Hirschfeld for archival purposes (tiktok.com, archive.ph):

Next, a delicious tray of appetisers before we have our main course (any ellipses in the quotes are mine to make them shorter for this post).
Having read Hirschfeld myself I wonder why he is propped up so much by … Internet Troon Communities. He didn't dance around the mental illness aspect at all and was very much a proponent of the stance that people who have gender dysphoria trying to adapt to it and improve their general wellbeing, not dive headfirst into it. He also catalogued quite some predatory and fetishy aspects of troon sexuality. Weird.
it's unlikely that anyone involved in the burning of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft's library knew or cared if there was transgender material in there. The simple fact of the matter is that its director, Magnus Hirschfeld, was the public face of homosexuality in Germany, being the most prominent campaigner for repealing the Prussian-era laws against it. So when the Nazis took power and Hitler and Himmler's raging hatred for male homosexuality became official doctrine, Hirschfeld, who was also Jewish and a socialist, was naturally in their crosshairs.
Hitler's newspapers had articles specifically condemning Hirschfeld - we don't have to guess as to why. "Transphobia" simply didn't play a part.
This is your daily reminder that the Nazi hypothermia experiments at Dachau were actively enabled by the inventor of the vaginoplasty:

someone mentioned those cross-dressing permits in Weimar Germany … the Nazis actually kept the permit system, because they were only offered to cross-dressers who were judged to be heterosexual. In other words, largely autogynophiles and drag queens, not homosexual males. Those guys got sent to the camps. The Hirschfeld Institute was destroyed because they also sympathetically studied gay people, not because of the trans surgeries.
They rely on historical simplification (no mention of the widespread homosexuality in the SA, of transvestite passes protecting heterosexual AGPs, or the guy who invented the vaginoplasty going on to become a high-up in the Luftwaffe) and also on the American general public's confusion of homosexuality with heterosexual cross-dressing (Nazis mostly targeted the former) and then they hope that no one will look closer. And if someone does look closer, they just call them a bigot.

For any lurkers interested in the "transvestite passes" issued in Nazi Germany to keep autogynephiles safe, this German Wiki page on the subject (translated) is pretty blunt about it:
However, the use of these transvestite certificates did not end when the National Socialists came to power in 1933 and the Institute for Sexual Science was destroyed on May 6, 1933. Those who did not reveal any homosexual acts during National Socialism or cause a public nuisance (such as crowds) usually remained unmolested as transvestites. Changes in civil status were also permitted.

Just on the transvestite passes specifically, I'd like to point out that it was Hirschfeld himself who was behind the licence system (dhm.de, archive.ph):
Deutsches Historisches Museum curator Thomas Jander said:
Hirschfeld felt that he was justified – indeed, obliged – as a doctor to provide proof of a patient’s need to ‘re-clothe’ themselves. Using this argument, Kopp and Hirschfeld were instrumental in the introduction of a new regulation: ‘cross-dressing’ men and women who had undergone a medical assessment were now entitled to a police-issued form of ID known as a ‘transvestite licence’ (Transvestitenschein).

Now on to the meat and potatoes of this post, an excellent thread by Malcolm Clark (twitter.com, archive.ph; threadreaderapp.com, archive.ph). I'll be recreating some of Clark's screenshots to make them more readable. The pages with the yellow or grey background are from the Magnus Hirschfeld society's online exhibition about the institute. The exhibition at the URL shown in Clark's screenshots appears to be broken, but thankfully the original exhibition is still online here.

Lines starting with a number are Clark's tweets, lines in square brackets are my notes.

1./ Where did the LGBTQ+ movement go wrong? How did a noble cause end up bullying artists and trying to destroy women's sport? The answers may lie buried in the movement's foundational myth about a sexology pioneer and his clinic. The truth is much darker than the myth (huffingtonpost.co.uk, archive.ph)

2./ The myth says the template for today's LGBTQ+ movement was laid down at Magnus Hirschfeld's Sexology Institute founded in Berlin in 1919 where the happy marriage between gay and trans rights was forged. Here's even [Scientific American] churning out this canard. (scientificamerican.com, archive.ph)

3./ Hirschfeld, a gay Jewish man, was undoubtedly brave but it's his claim that gay & trans people share some common affinity and his pioneering of 'sex change' surgery that makes him an LGBTQ+ hero. A who's who of trans activism retweeted the [Scientific American] article.
03-maugham.png
(twitter.com, archive.ph)

4./ But did they really read it? Here's the clinic in a starring role in the hit TV series Transparent. The transwoman with the red lipstick is Dora Richter the first person to have a full 'sex change' op including the world's first ever vaginoplasty.

5./ The Nazis closed the Institute, burning its library, and Hirschfeld died in exile. We don't know what happened to poor Dora but her story has a dark side that suggests the clinic was never the exemplar that's now suggested. Take her experimental operation as an example.

[Note below, I've correct "Gohrbrandt" to "Gohrbandt".]

6./ It's a sign of how intellectually dishonest the LGBTQ+ movement has become that none of the [Scientific American] retweeters mentioned (or noticed?) a detail that rather undermines the image of the Institut as fundamentally progressive. It was this reference to surgeon Erwin Gohrbandt.
06-scam.jpg
[Note that the current article has been reworded since Clark took this screenshot.]

7./ Yes, on the upside Erwin Gohrbandt experimented by inventing the vaginoplasty, creating Dora Richter and later Lili (The Danish Girl) Elbe's "female" sex organs. But on the downside he'd go on to work for the Nazis conducting a range of appalling experiments at Dachau.
07-gohrbandt.png
(zagria.blogspot.com, archive.ph)

8./ Gohrbandt went straight from experimentally castrating sex change patients to sterilising the mentally disabled at Am Urban hospital in Berlin. Here's a paper he co-authored in 1937 which provides "some information on the history and technique of sterilization."
08-jstor.png
In Brief Notices. 1938. The Quarterly Review of Biology, 13(1), 82.

9./ As the Luftwaffe's top medic he wanted to find out how pilots who bailed might survive in the sea. 300 prisoners were repeatedly immersed in freezing water for hours until they died. Colleague Sigmund Rascher created saddlebags from human skin. (nejm.org, archive.ph)

10./ On its own the fact that the doctor who helped invent the vaginoplasty for Hirschfeld became a monster is troubling but unfortunately that's only one of many problems with the mythic story of the Institute. Take this blatant racism.
10-ethnology.png
(hirschfeld.in-berlin.de, archive.ph)

11./ The clinic's Ethnology Department was run by Baron Ferdinand von Reitzenstein who argued African women were too sexually dominant and advocated "benevolent" German colonial intervention to solve that. So much for that BLM virtue-signalling from Tatchell, Maugham et al
11-reitzenstein.png
(journals.sagepub.com, archive.ph)

12./ The Baron also argued against women's equality and said women doing "gainful work in male clothing" was a sexual pathology. The rosy myth about the clinic suggests Hirschfeld himself challenged such regressive 'gender binary' attitudes. That's a complete misunderstanding.
12-sexes.png
(hirschfeld.in-berlin.de, archive.ph)

13./ While he claimed there were over 43 000 different sexual types those were all defined as different combinations of specific male and female biological traits. So a man might have a feminine pelvis or a woman a masculine larynx or skull. It was nonsense and it got worse.
[Clark writes "over 43,000" but in the previous image I read it as being over 43 million.]

14./ Homosexuality he said was caused by a biological defect so gay men were effectively demi-women who could never be 100% male. They were effeminate with weak muscles, "mincing gait or feminine handwriting". No wonder many gay men argued strongly against Hirschfeld's work.
14-homosexuality.png
(hirschfeld.in-berlin.de, archive.ph)

15./ Hirschfeld saw homosexuality in terms that could have come straight out of today's trans activism. As this article reveals he studied lesbian vaginal secretions to try to find sperm and gay men's urine to find menstrual blood. Lesbian penis anyone? (washingtonpost.com, archive.ph)

16./ It's one of the greatest ironies of all about the status of Hirschfeld and his dodgy clinic in today's LGBTQ+ movement that no one mentions his promotion of a vicious form of gay conversion. It all started with a remarkable "discovery" of Dr Eugene Steinach.

17./ In 1919 when the clinic was founded Europe was in the middle of a craze for monkey gland transplants. The famous cocktail is named after Serge Voronoff's bizarre op in which "rejuvenating" slices of baboon balls were inserted in a patient's scrotum.

18./ Not to be outdone the respectable endocrinologist Steinach announced he'd discovered male cells in the ovaries of a homosexual goat. In a leap of the imagination he now suggested male homosexuals might be cured if they were castrated and given testicles from straight men.
18-testicles.png
(hirschfeld.in-berlin.de, archive.ph)

[Note that text also refers to Hirschfeld studying the testicles of gay men and concluding they "revealed deviations". Hirschfeld wasn't ignorant of this work, he was involved in it.]

19./ The organs were obtained from straight men who had undescended third testicles. Magnus Hirschfeld became one of Steinach's most stalwart champions and sent gay men to be "cured". The numbers were likely small but the implications were huge.

20./ It's often claimed that Hirschfeld's argument that homosexuality was a medical defect was just a useful tactic in his campaign to get decriminalisation. But had this crazy 'gay cure' he promoted taken off thousands might have been maimed. Of course it didn't work.

21./ The best criticism of Hirschfeld I've seen is in this essay by Chandak Sengoopta and came from a contemporary doctor, Edwin Bab, who argued tomboy girls were "simply uncommonly wild" and not biologically masculinized as Hirschfeld insisted. Amen to that.
21-sengoopta.png
Sengoopta, C. 1998. Glandular Politics: Experimental Biology, Clinical Medicine, and Homosexual Emancipation in Fin-de-Siecle Central Europe. Isis, 89(3), 445–473.

[The highlighted portion is what Clark focuses on, but I've expanded the screenshot to include other relevant and interesting remarks.]

22./ The Hirschfeld clinic is indeed a perfect pinup for today's confused LGBTQ+ movement. For one thing Hirschfeld promoted highly experimental and dangerous surgery both on trans people and gay men. His evidence base was even less than that for puberty blockers.

23./ Just like the LGBTQ+ movement his project was rooted in rigid gender stereotypes and like it his clinic was obsessed with claims the obvious sex of someone could disguise a different hidden sex identity. And just like them his approach was steeped in internalised homophobia.

24./ His lumping together of gay, trans and intersex people as if they share common needs worked profoundly against gay people's interests as it does right now in gender identity clinics where doctors follow Hirschfeld's lead in trying to cure young gays with hormones or surgery.

25./ Above all, it tells you everything you need to know about how unanchored the LGBTQ+ movement has become that it's willing to ignore the clinic's rampant racism, Nazi doctors and 'gay cures' to hold to some dream of gay and trans harmony. It's time we ditched this toxic myth.

he needs to stop with d'Eon. He had Klinefelter syndrome
Are you sure? I didn’t come across any suggestion of that when I was researching my post about the Chevalier d’Eon. But yes, Tony does need to stop. The evidence seems to point to Louis XV requiring him to dress as a woman in exile as a condition of d’Eon receiving his spy’s pension (possibly it was a blackmail payoff).

@Geranium the website banap.net has great resources, it's compiled by an ex gay (or bisexual) man. It describes the history of Hirschfeld and other sexologists. Easy to read and accessible. The idea of homosexuality being a pathology came from the French; the English and Germans, particularly the latter, suggested gay men were really women. Kraft Ebbing is the OG for all that shit. Hirschfeld's whole playbook came from him. Kraft Ebbing is the guy you learn about fetishization, cross dressing, the whole works.

EDIT: website here, Larry just updated it last year and some articles were updated this year.

Thank you Geranium, thank you Malcom Clark. I should ask you later how you find these things, you got some great research techniques.

Take this blatant racism.
I always wondered if the farms made me more racist but I can at least say my first reaction to reading said dissing of that poor woman was "TAKE THAT BACK THOSE ARE THE SCULPTED LINES OF A WORKING CLASS WOMAN AND MOTHER WHO'S DONE MORE WORK THAN YOU EVER HAVE IN YOUR LIFE YOU SHELTERED UPPERCLASS FUCK". If anything I think it's made me defend women more.

I really love history like this. It's awful but fascinating to see how medical science has been shaped by people's attitudes and biases, and how not everything we do is right even if we feel it is at the time. And not all good things come from good people. It's a shame to cover up gory details on either side. Thanks to people who love history, warts and all, for preserving it. Shame you can't use everything in your propaganda Erin Reed, but discussing the flaws of something is better and shows how we've changed. Sadly, cancel culture says once you sin, you are never free of sin.

Yes. I'd recommend reading the thread from the beginning; it's not Kevin-long and there was some very good advice for Tony with regard to Invisalign. Edit: Also he ran a GoFundMe to pay for his dick inversion.

A key part in socialization is learning to weave your dinosaur facts into the conversation, like did you know that the Stegosaurus plates were attached to its skin and not part of the skeleton?

Clark does great work. Real OG there.

Hirschfeld gets more traction from the right because of his Jewish roots and role in promoting transsexualism, but he wasn't the first. He is famous because his works were burned. I don't agree with book burning - to destroy ideas you must discredit them with public ridicule. That way they will organically be forgotten. People praise Hirschfeld for creating his little transsexual empire, and ignore how he tried to castrate straight men to make gay men straight, and really DID engage in conversion therapy. The shit he did is on Kinsey level shit.

Sexologists were all a bunch of fucked up bastards.

However, I doubt Erin will correct the record. There will be more trans people featured. I suspect Albert Cashier will be next or other women who cross dressed as men. Alan Hart, who used x-rays for TB, was also a woman who got a hysterectomy and lived as a man. So expect her to be next.

I wanted to add an edit. This is from Larry Houston's BANAP:
Karl Heinrich Ulrichs (1825-1895)

Karl Heinrich Ulrichs was an early theorist and activist for legal and social rights of homosexual persons. He was the first person to write about the concept of homosexuality and has been called “the grandfather of gay liberation”. He was a German lawyer, writer and a homosexual himself. Ulrichs’ writing under his own name and the pseudonym, Numa Numantius, wrote a series of five pamphlets about homosexuality, “Researches Into the Riddle of Love Between Men, beginning in 1864. He eventually expanded them into twelve pamphlets by 1879. These were first written to argue against state proscriptions towards homosexual practices in the emerging country of Germany. Ulrichs wrote interpreting homosexuality in a naturalistic manner. Homosexuality was explained to be a benign, inborn anomaly, linked to an organic congenital predisposition or to evolutionary factors. He first located this trait in the brain, and in his later writings in the testicles. Homosexuality was a condition of inborn sexual inversion, which caused homosexuals to be neither truly male nor female, but to have characteristics of the opposite sex. For the homosexual man, he had a “feminine soul or mentality confined within a masculine body.” Ulrichs used the nomenclature of a “third sex” which he called “urning”, and he derived this term from an illusion to Uranus in Plato’s Symposium.
In his life Ulrichs served in the government as a lawyer, but quit under mysterious circumstances. He was also imprisoned for his out spoken views on homosexuality. Ulrichs eventually left his native country of Germany and spent the last fifteen years of his life in Italy. Although Ulrichs was unable to gain much support for his theory, he did contribute to the growing perception in the nineteenth century of the homosexual as a distinctive type of person. He died a poor broken man, virtually forgotten by his peers in the struggle for the emancipation for homosexuals.

“Only Karl Heinrich Ulrichs, himself a homosexual and the inventor of the concept of uranism ("the heart of a woman in the body of a man)," stood out. He agitated for the decriminalization of homosexuality, initially under the name of Numa Numcmtius, then under his own, and asserted that homosexuality was not a disease but a simple sexual variation which was of no more consequence than the color of one’s hair. His definition of homosexuals as "a third sex," which he tried to define through a complex classification system, met with an extraordinary success and was picked up by Hirschfeld.” (Tamagne, A History of Homosexuality in Europe Berlin, London, Paris 1919-1939 Volume I, p. 211-212)

“Carl Heinrich Ulrichs in 1860s spoke of female soul in a male body, but insisted that the ‘urning’ – the term invert was also used for homosexuals – was simply a special type of normal man, not a feminized male as some like Forel would argue.” (McLaren, Twentieth-century Sexuality A History, p. 94)
Ulrich was the one to coin the 'man in a woman's body' and vice versa. Unlike Hirschfeld, I don't think he was Jewish.
