Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

When you say engagement are you talking just views or are you including comments, likes, and views? Not trying to simp Nerdette, just pointing out her channel is shit all the way through. Her best "video" this month was a 78k view 1min CBS clip she uploaded with no commentary. Im shocked CBS didn't spank her ass over that.
I was trying to explain during the debate, but I couldn't get a complete sentence out without shrill interruptions.

The problem with Nerdette's channel is that it's growth is built artificially out of those 35 second video clips that get incredible views. Her channel ballooned to nearly 70K subscribers based on that.

BUT:

1. YouTube doesn't put ads on 35 second videos.
2. Nerdette doesn't/can't put ads herself on 35 second videos.

So she can't put sponsor ads on the only videos on her channel that actually get views. She can't sell wallets or anything.

Her lengthier, 10 min videos (the ones that are long enough to carry a sponsors ad) get very few views. Worse, her metrics may be showing that people click away from those videos prematurely.

So sponsors look at her channel and see her sub count and her views, and it's deceptive. Despite high numbers, her engagement isn't suitable for selling a product. And that's almost certainly why she lost her sponsor so quickly.

Replies broken but
Eventually though Frog and the audience got bored of this and instead entertained themselves with discussions of Simple Zack and what the loss of the creator producer of such classic works like 499 and Pandemic means for the future of comics.
Did I miss something? Is Zack finally relieving himself of the burden that is creating comics? Is he going to realize his dream of once again being a shining star in the firmament of Information Technology?

Hey kids, wanna buy some totally based non SJW top quality comics?

That's how I, and I think everybody with a brain, interpreted what you were saying.

She is painfully dumb.

I can't help but notice that's a Mercedes cargo van. Look at the hubcaps.

I thought @FROG was blowing hot air when he said he said Rippa was following his "prescription," but maybe he is a lot closer than I thought.

He's obviously not gonna be delivering stuff with the van. I wonder if he's using it for some tax reasons.
See above. I think FROG uses his for moving warehouse inventory.

I know. Just making fun of the "let's ignore specialization, division of labor and all the other lessons of the Industrial Revolution" business plans in general.

Delivering packages to the post office IIRC. Rippa has over 30,000 individual orders to pack and ship and the campaign is only halfway done.

All this fucking ass kissing for a guy who didn't even deliver the promised product yet...And his deranged fanboys STILL don't know the fucking story of the expensive comic they spend money for.

Based on the screencap @Mister Dongs posted, he's worse than a generic lolbertarian. He's a Randroid.

If anybody ever asks you in chat if you have ever read The Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged, don't take their call. It's a portent into autism to come.

Then post it yourself faggot. Why are you involving me in this?

Your post "alerting me" that I had a private message was meant to tell the world that I had this pic so when it gets posted somewhere else tomorrow I'm the suspect? What's this about?
What? Calm down lol. You're not that important. Someone else posted it anyway.

I know nothing about trademarks and where they are incorporated(whatever that means) and I wont pretend like I do. Maybe the location changed for a reason involving getting the trademark.
Yeah, so about that...

It's not the trademark that's in USVI. You apply for a trademark with with the feds (USPTO), but incorporation is conducted within a state or territory. Incorporation is USVI is sometimes done because the tax liability is lower there.

What does this mean? Why is there two? At first I wasn't sure, but this mystery account seems to want everybody to believe there's tax chicanery going on. A search of the official corporations database for the USVI has no retuns on "Rippa" or "July." Meanwhile there is indeed a July & Rippa LLC in Texas. Or at least thereWAS.

What appears to have happened here is that Rippa applied for the trademark under his own name on 8/6/2021, with the U.S. Virgin Islands as the incorporation territory, but THEN he hired Matt Acosta as a patent attorney (smart), who submitted an amended application on 12/10/2021 with the owner changed to July & Rippa LLC. out of Texas.

Best guess? Rippa might have initially thought he could legally run this out of the USVI for a tax break, but a Matt Acosta told him no, and now his thing will plant its flag in Texas. Or he just screwed up the form when submitting it initially himself. Maybe there was a drop down box that defaults to USVI. I dunno. The USVI thing isn't what they're going with now, so that's probably a nothingburger.

So everything is fine and based black man can make his comics.

Well, maybe, maybe not... there's one curious issue that has nothing to do with the Virgin Islands thing, and I stumbled over it in the course of looking into this. It happened when I looked up July & Rippa LLC. in the Texas database

July & Rippa LLC had had their right to conduct business transactions in the state of Texas involuntarily ended (although it doesn't say when). He's not in good standing with them.

An involuntary end occurs when:

😬

That brings us back to USPTO. The last correspondence from them was dated 5/12/2022. In it, USPTO request proof of the companies' domicile. To do that Rippa has to submit:

He presumably has neither.

There may be a bit of a rabbit hole here. Though I can't say how far down it goes. It's certainly interesting though.

We use our Mercedes Sprinter to transport large, twice daily shipments to UPS and USPS. It's been very helpful, and it'll become vital during REKT PLANET fulfillment, when we're moving 200-500 large packages per day.

UPS will do pick ups, but they're tough to work with. They want a 4-5 hour window for pick up, and they're very unhappy to see 200-500 boxes to be loaded into their truck. It's better to pull up to our loading dock, fill our own van with packages, and take it out ourselves twice a day when we're ready.

I think that's what Eric is doing too.

Wow, great find! I thought it would turn out to be nothing(like most of my post are). I know @I'm not a Robot is good with court documents, maybe this could be something he/she could look into further.

Speaking of post that are probably nothing, I was Scrolling through Twitter and I noticed this tweet from Von Claus. I didnt know that this was going on, but apparently IGG has decided to hide our resident commie, @COMMI3 MARK's campaign in a way that you either have to directly search for it or have a direct link because of racism.

I did a little digging and found only one video(by Von Claus) about this.
It looks like this problem has been going on for a couple of days now. Why arent there more videos and 11hr livestreams about this suppression by IGG of a small CG creator? This seems like something right up @TheCosmicWarrior's alley if he wasnt so busy doing videos about how oppressed the millionaire based black man is. I thought CG was there to support the little guys who want to make comics without suppression and intervention from the mainstream and S Jay Dub Us.

guess he can try Kickstarter. All in all, I think the comic looks pretty good. I may back it.
