To get rid of the unicorns what they need to do is mindgame them. Say something along the lines of “I’d never date a fan or someone who knows who I am, so your best chance to date me is to stop watching vtubers and forget that I exist.”

Honestly though, it’s just like I said before, they will only ever be toxic. Trying to compromise will never be ‘enough’, it’s just like trannies and progressives; give them an inch and they will reeeee that you are not giving them a mile.

Those compromise points that were posted are already conceding ground that shouldn’t have been conceded. Just like someone else mentioned; oh, you won’t initiate asking for collabs? Well, they will still get mad at yell your coworker just for being the ones to invite you, and I’m sure most of these girls would feel even worse about hate from their fans being directed at other people than it being directed at themselves.

I'm going to file this under "things that didn't happen but I wish did"

Are vtubers popular in Indonesia or is it just Hololive's way of branching out? A ID branch for Hololive always seemed odd to me but I'm not complaining

Indonesia is the 4th most populous country in the world so it's a very big market. There are richer countries out there but if you're looking for a less investment intensive branch Indonesia makes sense.

Incidentally, I looked it up and the first foreign sister group of AKB48, JKT48, was Indonesian. Maybe there's some ties between the two countries that I'm not aware of.

Thats what Suisei does, the hoshiyomis spin it as not being her fans but being in a business relationship with her, they also self police themselves hard so Unicorns get beheaded in the name of the Comet

By the way, I forgot to save it, but apparently someone on /vt/ found some rates Mihoyo paid to Niji for sponsored Genshin stream on Bilibili
Vox got paid 41K USD for a one and a half hour stream
Mysta got paid 23K USD for an hour stream
While Rion and Gundou Mirei only got paid measly 7100 USD also for an hour stream
At the time reading it, most said it's a bit too cheap of a rates

I think it stems from back when Niji was much larger than Holo. Holo followed much of what Niji did. When Niji opened an ID branch in 2019, Holo followed a year later. It was a similar dynamic to how now smaller agencies follow the Holo idol format.
Though I could be wrong.

Similarly, Hololive had a Korea twitter account that went unused. They were probably thinking of following Nijisanji's steps with that as well.

Not acknowledging this as the full truth without a source but I wish I could get paid $7,100 to play an hour of Genshin. Fuck me.

Gundou and Rion are already Genshin turbo-spergs that have streamed the entire story and every pull they've ever made so $7k free money is insane.

It's not just market size, Indonesia has a strong weeb culture too, though Kobo is the only member of Hololive to really conquer the market there.

Vox got paid ...
If that's what Niji got paid I'd guess the talent got some percentage of that not the entire amount?

Gura holding a Big Brain Games contest with 8 Hololive members. Wonder who'll join and how low Gura will rank.
What's the best outcome for maximum funnies, and maximum hate from the fanbases? The only thing I hope is that Gura doesn't place last, then everyone can throw a party.

Indonesia has a very warm-like and friendly relationship with Japan (even despite the warcrimes that happened during the 2nd world war, funny enough) and most people in there, be it the boomest of boomer old man to millenials cringe trash trying to make content by dodging trucks there all know Japanese weeb stuff like animu, manga and other stuff to some degree. So when Vtuber like Kizuna Ai became a hit and Japan experiencing those vtubers growing up, Indonesians weebs gave it a try.

I somewhat remember that they have what is arguably one of their earliest, corpo-like vtuber by the name of Maya Putri that debuted quite earlier before big JP corpo like Nijisanji and Hololive set foot on ID soil, likely inspired by the usage of Live2d on vtubing in general making it easier for others to start.

It's pretty much what happened, yeah. HoloID managed to struck win despite Niji ex-ID already having 2 wave there, admittedly. Can be chalked by brand name and also that it was during the time chink virus hit so they got more viewerships, something like that.

This is pretty true, considering how some of the vtubers in ID have past life where they are doing those JP utaites thingie before pursuing vtuber stuff due to trend/popularity/new business venture.

As of Kobo, its just that she manages to essentially capture not just the weebs, but also the a-typical local folks that don't really get into vtuber stuff simply because, as that nousagi guy puts it on his video about Kobo, "is well versed in local memes and also appealing to them the most",

I think people were saying it's cheap because they were using standard rates with youtubers/streamers on the west, where the rates easily can go for tens of thousands of dollars, sometimes even more
