Good to know who those people are, as I kept seeing them.

The thing about people being dickheads and companies issuing threats isn't a matter of if, it's a matter of when. No matter how small you are or how mild your posts are, someone at some point will come by and want to fuck with you. There was a guy who used to archive old BBS sites and some lunatic tried to sue the guy for hundreds of millions because one of the things archived was some enema fetish the guy suing wrote publicly a decade ago. It was literally one story off a BBS in terabytes worth of data and it still ended up being a whole thing.

As for content, if a site is made, might be a good idea to have the public facing section and then a private one that's visible once you've lurked enough to not be a tard. Sure, it'll be leaked eventually but it's at least a minor buffer.
 
Things really do look bleak with the situation we're in, with several providers turning away on the site without notice. Null having an emergency in his personal live that he'll be away on for a week or more. I recall the site going through situations like this before being dropped by providers, but not to the length of where it got to transition into Onion Farms.

I do like that Null is cracking down on giving more fuel to the parties causing this uproar and wants the sight to go in a form of hibernation in the mean time let things cool. The site really did make the mistake of engaging the lowcow(s) and not just laughing/ignoring them.

In a way, we flew too close to the sun of autism and it lashed at us back.

I don't think it's bad to start discussion about it now, but we shouldn't encourage people into a permeant alternative right now till Null gives up and drops a torrent of the site.

I do like how people are being proactive in rallying people together and trying to keep tabs on another in case the light goes out. Cause hell, I was surprised to see DDOS-Guard even to swiftly change positions without notice.

If a alternative does occur, I'm not against giving it a chance. Of course it'll not be the same with what we have here, but I still love the idea of discussing vtuber and shitposting without so much restrictions and problems we have if we went elsewhere. I kind of like being able to talk about things without upsetting someone about roommate stuff or causing stupid drama about talking about a vtuber situation.

Okay, fuckers. If ten people PM me here or on poast saying they'll give a forum a try I'll go ahead and open up a free one (maybe invision, but open for suggestions) Thursday or Friday. This will not be a replacement for this thread. All it will be is a place to discuss ideas and experiment with layouts for an actual not-shit piece of forum software like Xenforo. It'll also give people a chance to see some ideas for things like codes of conduct, rules, etc.

Basically I'll keep things as close to KF as possible, including some of Null's restrictions. Much as people here can dislike Null, his hyper-vigilant attitude and unwavering stance on loli did one very good thing; it kept this shit fun to read. I've no interest in running a forum where losers post pictures of themselves hugging their dakimakura or gushing over the latest piece of holoporn on pixiv. If you want to talk about vtubers without coming across as a huge sperg, then you're welcome. Hell, even Nolan Crush is at least tolerable compared to the degenerate retards.

Don't expect KF but now with BEER! & HOOKERS!!!!. There's some gay-ass discord out there for that. I'm interested in preserving this reasonably regimented culture, not hand it the keys to the asylum.

Been on and off myself, more of a lurker than anything. Would be interested in an alternative if things go to shit, if not to keep up with whatever retardation is going outside of what/who I'm watching most.

Plus, you lot keep this shit interesting. Hopefully this situation either gets sorted, or if it goes to hell, we get a similar environment setup. Either way, here's to whatever bullshit is coming our way in the future.

Been lurking rather than posting for a while, RL's been kinda hectic lately... but gawd it's weird hopping on the dark web to talk about anime pngs and guys with voice changers. Honestly was just hoping to read a whole bunch of posts and updates while Sora did her 5yr anniversary stream in a day or so... but I guess some people just like to spoil things.

Hoping Null gets it all figured out, even if we end up browsing things through the TOR tunnel for a bit, and glad to see you all are still around.

The forums had to be put down for a couple of months in the past and it still came back. I have hope once the troon thinks it won and moves on we will be fine just have to keep our head down.
But if it does get fully nuked or down for a very long time we may want to deal with our own forum or a very basic discord with the same rules as this thread just so it does not end up like that other one with FIVE porn channels and off topic sperging.
