I always think it's weird that these people are happy to cut up bits of tattooed skin and have it patchworked into a rotdog. Not saying everyone should be super attached to their tattoos, but it's going to be even more obvious that your rotdog is fake if it has not just scars but bits of random tattoo stitched onto it. Especially if the remaining part of that tattoo ends with a giant bite of skin taken out of your arm. 'Car accident', 'burnt in a fire' or 'all dicks look different' isn't going to work.

What is it that makes these look utterly ridiculous, even at a very brief first glance? I don't mean that they're just flesh rolls, but there's something about where (how?) they're placed that looks so wrong. The body is so obviously female. The mons, the legs, just everything about where the rolled up piece of arm is stitched on looks wrong. Like those experiments where they grew ears on the backs of mice, just to prove the science made it possible. It will never, ever pass as normal, and judging by the amount of issues FtMs have with strictures, it'll just cause them issues for the rest of their lives. Yet they still do it. I can't see FtM surgeries as anything other than self-harm, and desperately pinning hopes on the next surgery making their lives perfect (which never happens, for obvious reasons).

Some time ago there was this cute little art challenge where artists would first draw a horse from memory and then again with a reference, showing how even experienced artists need a reference to get good results.

The giant list of obstacles to male pregnancy was probably me. There are so many problems with it, it's hard to even know where to start.

As we are all probably aware by now, surgeons are often (statistically, not rhetorically!) actual psychopaths. They think every single issue can be solved with a knife. In this case, it just can't. Even if you found the perfect pair of male and female trannies who were already on immunosuppressants, carved out their bottom sections and swapped them around, there is - for example - no way to ensure that a female brain, with no Y chromosome, would "know" how to maintain foreign organs that didn't belong there. There would be no way to force a male brain, whose placentogenesis pathway had been turned off from the Y chromosome at conception, to form a placenta. The problems are literally too numerous to list, but Dr. Surgeon's Gonna Play God over here thinks he can just fix it all with a scalpel.

Mt Sinai or not, there is a huge difference between having a plan for a feasible procedure, and a psycho giving a theoretical presentation at grand rounds to get attention. While this guy may actually believe he has godlike powers to change sex with a knife, he doesn't.

I've followed the heavy body-mod scene for a very long time and the amount of time, caution and care that went into things like meatotomy, subincision, splitting were leaps and bounds beyond what the trans-specific surgeons are doing.

I think I used to feel pity for them, but after being in this thread for some time, you really start to understand just how much they ignore other people's experiences and advice. Online, there are plenty of sites that go into graphic detail how complicated these surgeries are and how many truly seem to regret it (whether they admit it or not). To just brush aside all of these gross ass pics and stories and somehow think you are the EXCEPTION, yeah, I don't feel pity much anymore.
