Trainwreck Alicia Dougherty / Dougherty Dozen - Alcoholic foster mother of 10, who makes millions and wastes all of it, punishes children for not being in content, returns kids she can't put online, uses a therapy method that has killed at least 6

Note that these hate comments are not actually hate! It's just people trying kindly to educate her on stuff she does wrong. Hey, Alicia, it is not hate when someone suggests trying to properly portion meals and plan them accordingly.
Speak for yourself, I hate her and I see her as the reason why the adoption system is a joke.

Hey! Her kids are tr*amatized! They cannot learn how to take care of themselves and - apparently - are going to rely on Alicia for life.

They don't even put the toothpaste on their brushes themselves. Alicia lays them out the night before.

In continued hiatus reviews Alicia dropped some bands on lockers to bring that traditional group homey feel to life. They are conviently located in the garage.

She was very excited about these.
Ah yes, the garage. That is where everything she doesn't need or hoards is just piled into. During the Easter holiday, each kid got a marshmallow ginger bread house among other childish items, reminder that the oldest is 16. In a video Alicia did later after Easter, there was a pile of these gingerbread houses stuffed in a corner of the dining room. Its honestly sad to see that some kids don't experience the magic of Easter and the related festivities while Alicia can just waste.

Speak for yourself, I hate her and I see her as the reason why the adoption system is a joke.
Truer words have never been spoken, man.

You mean giving as many children as possible to whoever will take them isn't working?
The issue is that in many cases it isn't "whoever will take them". There are plenty of people who are fit to raise children but can't have them who are rejected by the adoption system in favor of people like this chick.

My impression might be off, but a fact of the system is that there are way more children in need of a family than there are people who are willing to raise a child who isn't related to them. It's not like the state wants to have them in their care until adulthood.

I personally believe the kids are obviously better off in the Dougherty household than foster care. That's probably the only nice thing I'll ever say about Alicia. But the bar is totally on the floor.

You're right on the first point and I'd say it's a coinflip on the second. Big part of the reason why there are so few families in the adoption system is that even if you did want to adopt it's a serious process that can take months (or even a year or more in some cases) and can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. There are many different types of adoptions too, most adoptions are actually done between relatives or on the private level between two families. I'd look it up for your state since every state has a different system but what most of them have in common are:

>You need to be stable socially, financially, and professionally
>You must have a driver's license in good standing or a reliable transport plan
>A physician must declare you to be in good health physically and mentally
>You must be drug and alcohol free and not in recovery from addiction
>You must pass a very thorough background check
>You must pass an alleged perpetration check
>You have to go to all mandatory training sessions and pass them

Typically your application also requires you to find people who are not related to you that you've known for at least ten years or more who will vouch for your moral character. And the state WILL interview those people. Keep in mind that all of this is handled by a state government as well, so that it's going to be underfunded and handled by a bunch of overworked peons bossed around by stuffed shirt and apathetic bureaucrats is a given. At the end of the day a lot of people don't make the initial requirements, fewer people can hack it through the training and the qualification process, and then the people who do are usually looking for a particular type of kid. Believe it or not most people don't actually want to adopt outside their own race (and there have been studies which suggest that mixed race adoptions may be detrimental to a child's sense of belonging), Most aspiring adoption parents are white, most children in the adoption system aren't. Most people who adopt aren't looking for an older child, they're looking for infants and toddlers since most adoptive parents are using the adoption system as a surrogate since they can't have children of their own. Most children in the adoption system tend to be older.

At the end of the day it's easier for the people running the system to just say "fuck it whatever, she'll take them and she's already in the system".

Edited for a couple spelling mistakes.

:story: 41?! i'd give her the seniors discount no questions asked!!!

She's looked and sounded beyond her years for crazy long. Here's a video from when she was 30. It's from her first youtube channel titled Alicia Dougherty (it's all MLM and the Harlem shake).

Interesting how the seed of financial gain from her children on the internet was planted almost as soon as she started getting them.

Just saw it today, too. The pasta actually looks so cold and disgusting. In the TikTok video you can see her pour tomato sauce straight from the jar to the noodles, no heating up in a saucepan or whatever. She only has 15 people at the max in the house, and she cooks like it's for 50 people. And we already know what she does with leftover food, 🗑️. There's going to be a point where her fanbase falls due to repetitive content, sponsors/brand deals dry up and she doesn't make as much money as she used to. Imagine in the future where your kid has to work their ass off in college because you splurged on useless shit while the money was coming in.

It's Our 5 6 Year Old With Autism's birthday so there are more people over.

They still all get 3 pounds of pasta and breadsticks Alicia let the kid put his foot on

Speaking of this kid Alicia let him stay home from school the other day because he said, "no" and locked himself in his room. One of the older boys did his level best to convince him to go but Alicia was never going to make him do anything because he's autistic. I'm sure Barb Chandler could speak on what happens when you never make your autistic son develop a life skill, but I don't think she talks much these days.

Yeah, James is probably one of the most sweetest kids of hers. Always helping out, doesn't trash the house, it's a shame that Alicia works him like a dog. When they took a flight to NYC, they had to buy some water at the airport, and Alicia literally put the camera in his face as she struggled to carry 10+ individual water bottles. Don't get me started on their NYC trip in general, I have a whole tangent on that

Don't get me started on their NYC trip

I felt so bad for the adopted daughter when she was so excited to go to the American Girl store and waited patiently all day only for Alicia to roll them up after it was already closed and shaded the kid for being upset.

Most of Alicia kids are wonderful. It's a shame Alicia treats them the way she does - like adopting them was a favor or something.

Please sperg about the NYC trip, it was too deep to detail more than one of them in the OP but they are all ridiculous and very very funny. The $400 stuffed animal was a highlight for me.

Trees, I am happy to sperg on a bit for you. In a video, each kid got an new book, their phone, tons of activities and she had a bag that had enough snack food to last about a week. Thing was, this was a 45 minute or so flight. This is Rochester to NYC, not Pennsylvania to Beijing. In one of the video clips where they are in the airport getting in line or whatever, you can clearly hear Josh being a bitch to the kids. He was quite literally yelling at them to stay in one place or to stop doing something that wasn't even a big deal. That's all I have, really. I promise that r/Doughertydozen will do a better job than I can do, as they actually provide images and timestamps. Oh, and most of them don't sound like retarded children.

*ON ANOTHER NOTE* She bought each kid headphones for the Trip, but then bought another pair in the airport? Do you just jill off to the thought of spending money, alishuh?

jill off to the thought of spending money
Yes.

Breaking out the calculus to count how many costumes the kids are getting this halloween season. So far we're at

- One for trick or treating
- One for school
- One for the group costume
- One for a birthday party they're all going to
- One for Comic Con the girls went to

The oldest boy said he was too old for costumes but then he decided he wanted to be a Space Jams character and needs new $200 Jordans.

She says they do this every year but I have a hard time believing they did this when they were living off teaching, housekeeping, and adoption subsidies. Foster son's girlfriend came with and Alicia really wanted them to get a couple's costume. I presume she paid for that too, since the girl is being featured in her videos now. Don't worry, Alicia already doxxed her address months ago and posts uncomfortable videos of them displaying pre-teen PDA for the millions.

And we've been finding lots of time to humiliate the children

She has no sense of Internet safety. Posting what her car(s) look like, the front of the house, what schools they go to(in a Instagram post, she showed bree posing with a certificate that clearly shows her school),what rooms they sleep in, and her in general not giving a fuck. She was on a live and said in response to a question talking about people knowing her address, and she said something along the lines of "Yeah, it's been online for years, just search up my name." With her posting while actively on trips away from the house, I bet a few people will break in knowing all this personal info that she has advertised to millions of people.

theres absolutely no way 11 out of 12 of their kids all have ADHD
An ADHD diagnosis is meaningless and they'll get diagnosed just for being energetic kids, like how kids are supposed to be.
ADHD meds (amphetamine and methylphenidate) are how she deals with nature of kids: hyperactivity. She pumps them up with drugs to make them look more "normal" and calm. Kids are supposed to be hyperactive. Munchausen by proxy, it is

It bothers me a lot that she plasters bipolar disorder on so many of her kids. A child is almost definitely not bipolar. If they're acting like they are bipolar, something at home is probably fucked up and in need of fixing. Not the kid.

Alicia did not cast a line out to the system and pull in 3 unrelated children with bipolar disorder who all need serious brain changing chemicals, but she would definitely tell you she did and who those kids are and what medication they're on and their family's medical history, and, of course, that the kids are traumatized.

Any criticism of her parenting can be brushed off with "my kids are traumatized"

I really enjoy this episode of Supernanny where a mother with four children under five years old thought that her 4 year old has ADHD and all of her behavioral issues are because of that. Jo did not entertain the idea. She straight up told her that their house is a nightmare, the children have no structure or discipline, and mom + dad were hardly giving the girl any attention. When the parents made some changes guess what? The kid wasn't having any behavioral problems.

I won't upload that episode here because it would take a long minute, but it can be found on youtube titled "Hell breaks loose" for the interested.

She actually is pretty shit. Her parenting desicions will be catastrophic to her kids minds and bodies and who knows what is in store for them in a few years.
