It is sure good to see Hut back to true form! I mean Tin Hat Hut=Best Hut. Iconicsgate working with China and another retarded stodge to get at EVS and JDA does seem pretty dumb, but if anyone could smoke out a retard doing dirty work for others, it would be Hut(the ole takes one to know one thing). It’d be really nice to mount a spirited defense of comicsgate in response, but so far this stream has been so full of retardation from the panel as they try and figure out who Cartoonist Kayfabe are that it’s not even worth the effort. Maybe Mr. Dongs will come back and report whether or not anything fruitful comes of this hash. I miss Mr. Dongs. There’s no substitute for a good Dongs report.

The biggest tip off that Ed Piskor is a wishy washy little weasel probably should have been how he studied at the feet of Harvey Pekar but grew up to have zero qualms taking money from Fantagraphics and Marvel. He likes what he thinks he’s supposed to like, no more and no less. As a guy born in the 80s that means pretty much everything considered “iconic”, but outside of that, the mind is closed.

Ok I can’t quote you del Arroz, but I’ll give credit where it’s due. At least you have the dedication to play a proper heel. But damn it all, why does it have to be that you’re at your most inspired and creative when you’re just being a troll?

Both. They're try hards with fake laughs, which is grating as fuck. They also, from my remembering, have some suspect tastes.

But...they do what the CG channels never accomplished, which is to talk about comics in a way that can be fun and engaging. Presuming, of course, your willing to pretend DC/Marvel vanished in 2011.

I don't like them, and not just because they are posers and cucks.

They’ll do stuff like read comics live, page by page, and point out techniques and trivia about stuff in each panel. If you aren’t interested at the get go you’ll be bored to tears, but if you want to know more about stuff like Harlan Ellison’s Daredevil or the early work of Jamie Hewlett you’ll be into it.

But yeah, it’s tempered by the fact that they both personally kind of suck. I got off the Kayfabe train when I watched them end a video with a mention of Robert Crumb followed by this long mea culpa about how unfortunate his racist cartoons were. Now I could make a compelling argument that both of these bitches’ own work in comics is full of lulzy “ironic”blaxploitation cliches. They’d better watch their own asses, frankly. If there’s one thing you can set your watch by, it’s that the liberals of tomorrow will not be amused by the racial humor of today, woke or not.

Rebel’s Run movie sounded retarded the first time he smugly teased it. Based on a six issue miniseries larded with injokes and allusions to dated current events THAT HAD NO ACTUAL ENDING other than “ha ha, I wrote myself in a character,” it seemed ridiculous. One of those moments where a narcissist totally leaves their ass hanging out. He just couldn’t spin it up to be a good idea. Any writer with dignity should have finished that story before asking for cash to turn it into a film. Any filmmaker with two brain cells to rub together should have realized what a massively stupid idea making an indie superhero movie is, in general. What kind of superheroics can you possibly VFX with one million bucks?! I’ll be fair and allow for the possibility that he’s got the other hundred million needed to go toe to toe with Marvel hidden in his mattress, and that this is an uncharacteristic goof.

That article is kinda hit-piecey from a loaded source and very short on details. I have a hard time imagining how a million dollars just vanishes with no recourse. Unless he sent it in crypto to some rando on the internet there's gotta be a paper trail or some other actionable info somewhere.
