I find the term "election denier" to be a weird term since I have never seen that word ever used before these midterms and the 2020 election.

Especially since, as Kari astutely pointed out, when Trump won in 2016, THEY were the election deniers, to the point where prominent celebrities practically begged the electors not to certify him. But, when they cheated Biden got voted into office fair and square, questioning the elction in any way, shape or form is suddenly "threatening Our Democracy™". Blow me.

I think a lot of people are upset not at losing but that the republicans elites are the ones who caused the loses. After the sabotage they are now demanding you vote for who they say or else they'll do it again.

They want to be in power to be in power, that's all that matters.
That said, times of turmoil have always been times of government expansion so they may see this as another tragedy to take advantage of for their own gain.
