There was a former Irish Taoiseach (prime minister) who bought a private Island of coast of Ireland, even though he had no known source of income that could have paid for it.

Irish libel laws made it essentially impossible for the media to discuss it, because under Irish law you're liable for any inference someone might take from a statement, so if a newspaper printed a story asking where he got his money from they would be liable for someone thinking he had gotten the money corruptly (which he had, and which everybody knew he had)

It was only when he was dead that the media started to in a very roundabout way discuss how he made his money, even then they were limited by family and former associates making legal threats.

At the moment the leader of Sinn Fein in Ireland has 3 separate libel actions going, relating to her parties connection to criminal gangs and where she got the money for her house, and even though there's a recording of a Sinn Fein councillor meeting with Irelands biggest gangster, and discussing her, she'll still win all three.

The same thing happens in a lot of former British colonies, India is the worst it still has criminal defamation which allows politicians to go into some small court in the arse end of no where and make an allegation about a journalist on the other side of the country which will potentially get him jailed.

Anyway even though I believe the Canadian libel laws are no where near as bad as Ireland, Keffals is still fucked. The UK courts will enforce a Canadian court judgement. I really doubt he's actually spoken to a lawyer because he's acting really fucking stupid, and he's going to blow through that $100k fast.

Ultimately this is going to boil down to who is best able to use the legal system, who can find a good lawyer and give them proper instructions. Destiny is honestly terrible at long term thinking in general. Similar to how he didn't have a problem with cancel culture stuff back in the day saying it wasn't an issue and that it'd never be exploited, despite multiple people telling him how it would obviously just keep expanding its breadth to more and more people until it eventually came for him. Similarly he can't fathom a world where people might want to genocide Germans or the French in the future when they become a minority, particularly with all the "white people bad" propaganda being exported across the globe.

He's just really bad at looking at long term consequences, he seems to only focus on the here and now.
