Think of how much the skin on a penis can move relative to the structure. Testicules move too within the scrotum. As for Ellen page, she’s such a slight delicate build that they were probably able to do the keyhole type mastectomy on her and reduce the scarring. Her scars are minimal, and that I suppose is ‘a good job.’
I’m just thinking of an acquaintance of mine who is having a mastectomy, probably a fairly radical one given her scans, this week and I’m feeling a mix of sad and pissed off about it all.

His surgery was like 2 years ago and his teeth still have not fully regained feeling, but he’s happy with the result and says it was the right decision for him. He describes feeling like his face was not his own. He makes multiple comments in the video about how he would be glad to no longer look like himself. He had a panic attack before and some sort of breakdown after the surgery and had to talk with the hospital psychiatrist.

The facial feminization cost $38,000 NZD or currently $23,000 USD, to break his face and have him sedated for 15 hours, and he looks literally the exact same as he did before (of course he’s convinced himself this is not the case). He even admits the the surgery made him MORE masculine and less able to ‘pass’ for months afterwards and it took over a year to convince himself the surgery had settled in and finally made him more feminine. Yet, he wants to pursue vocal surgery.

As much as this guy is a lunatic, I’m more disturbed (as usual) that medical professionals will do these procedures on people so clearly not well.

You’re absolutely right. I hadn’t seen that - maybe the pic I’d seen was shopped or I just didn’t look. Yeah those are unnecessarily large scars for such a thin woman. They could have keyholed her easily and she’d have had much better nipple results that way as well. That’s really interesting - at what point do we accept that they want to hurt themselves as much as possible and the scars are part of that? She’s so thin. Literal destruction of the self.

I'm 31 now and I transitioned in my early-mid 20s. To give myself at least some pat on the back, I transitioned "well" and by that I mean I did hormones, surgery on my face, got voice therapy, and so on and after doing all of that, no one has ever questioned that I'm anything but a woman.

The one thing that wasn't going for me was that I got almost no breast development from the hormones and I really mean almost none. Flat chested. Just female nipples/areolas. So I went to Thailand to get breast implants. In the most bone headed move of my life, I decided to get sex reassignment surgery (ie the penis to vagina conversion). And while I had counseling for it, they just assumed it would be no problem for me, because I look so much like a woman. Still ultimately the decision is and was my choice and my fault. Just so we're clear I'm not blaming other people.

Anyway, I don't regret living as a woman. I don't regret taking hormones. I don't regret getting surgery on my face.
I could kind of go either way on the implants.

But I DEEPLY regret having my dick changed into a vagina. I never know how much I'd miss it until it's gone. There are some things that are a pain with a vagina (harder to keep clean for one). But ultimately it's not about convenience. It's not about sex either. While both those things play a little bit into my regret, for some reason it's more of just a body image thing. Kind of like how some women hate their natural hair color and would feel awful if they couldn't dye their hair anymore. Just 100x worse than that. Or how you would feel if you had to live in another person's body (even if the same gender). Or if you were missing an arm or a leg how you'd feel looking in the mirror. I just don't feel whole or complete or "like me". I'd do almost anything to get it back, even undergo radical, untested surgery (like a transplant).

It interesting to see comments about this before this became a big trend + woke culture. Most people are a bit more based and direct.

SRS in Thailand is less than a third the price of FFS in the USA. No wonder so many trannies are going there for surgeries.
