Background
In the beginning, there was Autism.
GoAnimate was a site that let users make shitty, free animations with bootleg Family Guy characters and text-to-speech voices. It was popular in the early to mid-2010's with children (similar to how Gacha Life is now), and quickly became a hotbed of autists, as well as autists trolling autists. From this ecosystem sprang the UTubeTrollPolice (UTTP), an ironic anti-trolling trolling group that over time evolved into an anti-fandom trolling collective based on Google+.

From there, "UTTP" became more of a label than a cohesive group (like how "Anonymous" is), but the most prominent (and relevant to this story) strain of the UTTP moved over to Discord and started fraternizing with the JMAA trolling community, in spaces with MaximilianMus, Britbong, and others. Little specifcs are known about this time period, but eventually, around 2019 or so, a person going by the name of KY5 (aka KYS) would come from this UTTP-descendant group and start his own group: the Homophobe Army (HA).

Now, we do have some specifics about the HA: among other things, they would make inflammatory videos in the Gacha Life community, target smaller (usually young, fandom-oriented) YouTube channels with mean comment spam, dox targets and run future ops under their previous targets' names (thereby increasing the harassment previous targets would receive), coax targets into joining their Discord server and flaming them and spamming them with islamic shit when they did, and other similar activities.
At some point, they would focus their activities on someone called Logan Roof, but not much is known about him specifically, and it doesn't seem like it was a long-lived period anyway. But following this, KY5 would step away for a while, allowing Foodistzen (one of his friends) to in turn step up.

Foodistzen's main shtick was making videos saying that well-known e-celebs (or people close to / relevant to e-celebs) that have died actually deserved it and were "burning in hell," or that their deaths were faked for views, or that this or that person was a scammer – unsubstantiated claims that are just clickbait and ragebait, thinly-veiled by a pretense of "anti-bullying." The first mention of this on the Farms was when Technoblade died, but other popular examples include Jacksepticeye's dad, Markiplier's niece, PewDiePie's dog, and many more.
Daniel even did at least one IRL stream where he went around his town yelling "BLAH LIE MAH" (black lives matter), saying child porn should be legalized, and antagonizing people and calling them niggers (à la IP2)
The Foodists continued on some of the HA's activities, like impersonating their targets, targeting smaller YouTubers, and spamming islamic shit like gore and animal abuse, but they also eventually began ragebaiting even harder by claiming to support pedophilia, zoophilia, and anything else that could provoke and shock audiences.
This community was previously mentioned on the Kiwi Farms within the Minecraft YouTube stan and Keffals threads, highlighting their activities. A Twitter thread created by Jesse Singal alleges that a Northern Irish Foodist, known as Matt Lav/Matthew Laverty in the Foodist/Clay Eater communities was responsible for the loyalist post on 4chan's /pol/.

The three main Clay Eaters are OJ Simpson (the admin), Matt Lav (aka MatthewHF / Matthew Laverty, the kid that stalked Keffals in Northern Ireland), and Mela M (their main dox guy). There are a handful of other people of note (like @butth3ad aka Necrotron / Necrotr0nEpic / necronekomachine, though he isn't really notable for much aside from being a mod and a dysgenic faggot), but these are the main ones.
