Eh, they should criticize the thing on it's own merits, instead on forcing that "Wu is trans"-bit into an amazon review. I doubt that "not mentioning Wu's past" is the only fishy part of that book, if Wu was involved, it should be pretty easy to point out most of the fallacies, bullshit and misinformation in it.

Has anyone bought the book yet to see what she has to say in it? It's supposed to be about things she learned during her animation company disaster, so it's bound to be a pack of lies and half-truths.

I can't find anywhere that'll sell an ebook version outside of the US, and I'll be damned if I'm going to wait 6 weeks and have a hardback version cluttering up my bookshelves. Any Yank want to buy it and copy-paste the relevant bits?

I don't believe that Wu would put her name on a book, if it wasn't following her own narrative by the letter. I bet ten gummy-bear-points that it is just Wu's same old same old hogwash, with some poor editor in between who had to spellcheck it.

I don't understand why people write things like this. Of course everyone who agrees with you is going to say, "Yeah, girl! You tell 'em!" but your intended target is just going to think that you sound like an uppity prat.

This is what happens when someone in his late thirties gets all of his social interaction on Twitter and therefore models his own speech after vapid 20-something tumblrinas. It's just embarrassing.

EDIT: More precisely, in this case it's obvious that grown men are going to think that things that primarily interest teen/pre-teen girls are not really that good. So the most appropriate response to Johnny's tweet here is to roll one's eyes so far back into one's head that you can see eternity.

You don't need uncensored hardcore gay sex, but you need a character that's pretty much just a stereotypical token gay character that flaunts his sexuality at everyone constantly for no reason. And of course, these people are not allowed to have any kind of flaw and nothing bad is ever allowed to happen to them in any way.
10 Seasons of said character being a perfect Homo-Gary Stu can be undone in one scene where a Klingon slaps him in the face for being an obnoxious asshole. Twitter would just explode with rage over the obviously homophobic attack against the character and how the writers of that episode clearly needs to go to a reeducation camp.

Which is hilarious in its own right, when you realize Patreon takes a share of like 10% or 20% . . . All Wu and his ilk achieve is increasing the amount of money Patreon receives.

I actually agree on a part of that: "Terrorism" is used these days as inflationary as "war on..." and the like. The liked tumblr post is... well, a tumblr post.

I am thirteen years old and in a game store for the first time. I examine their selection of dice and take them to the counter to pay.

But the rest of the article is the stuff you might expect, allegations upon allegations that ultimately paint all tabletop gamers as horny, insecure nerds that strangely seem to have the guts to drug and rape women, grope them im public and harass them. Chances are that most of this stuff either never happened or every number or account is exaggerated through the roof, the attempt of trying to paint this as "terrorism" seems to me a clear indicator for that.
