a lot of people with fucked up knees and hips spend years putting off getting an artificial knee or hip because the earlier you get it, the more likely it is that they are going to have to replace the whole fucking thing 10 or 15 years from now. artificial knees and hips are much simpler than an artificial erection machine. the joint replacements go where a joint used to be and fulfill the same function as the joint. The artificial boner is put inside a body part that is also completely artificial and has no anatomic function, a weird/unprecedented thing to do. These people are replacing their functional reproductive anatomy with pumps and flesh quilts and scar tissue in their 20s and 30s. I would bet good money that there will be absolutely nothing left of these phalloplasties as the patients age. I don't know wtf any of them expect.
Implants are also an infection risk, because bacteria can grow on the implant, yet the human immune system is not designed to patrol foreign objects.
This TiF is complaining about her arm graft scar after 2 years.

I had RFF done two years ago and have had so many complications. One thing that's still happening to me is that the hand of my donor arm still swells up and hurts. Sometimes it happens during/after exercise, but I wake up all the time with my hand swollen or it happens randomly during the day. I get pretty severe pain in the back of that hand too, especially when flexion my wrist and gets even worse if I flex my fingers. It feels like something is very very tight when I do that, but I have as much range of motion as my other wrist/hand/fingers. Like the tendons are stuck down or something.

I had a lot of delayed healing with my arm graft and the whole thing still feels really stiff and locked down. I've done tons of physical therapy, massage, vitamin E, and been to multiple doctors about it as well as my surgeon many times.

My doctor and I have discussed fat grafting in my arm (not so much to bulk it up because it's filled very well, but to hopefully peel the skin up a little more inside and create some space in there). It's just so frustrating to have had surgery YEARS ago and still be dealing with complications. I don't regret doing it, but wow, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen, and anything they were able to do? I do stretches, massage, ice, exercises for the fingers etc.

d00leys is nowhere to be seen despite the fact that she usually comments on everything. Only comments are other TiFs with similar issues.
This is fucking terrible, and entirely expected. This would be normal if somebody had a nasty skin injury, and had to loose a large chunk of flesh. The insane munchie who finally had her legs cut off was dealing with this midway through her ordeal.

“I had no idea what I was getting into”

Where are all the “bitch, self-responsibility” and “you should’ve done your research” crowd? I guess they only scream at detransitioners.

Nice way to admit that either she didn’t do the research, or it wasn’t freely available (because trannies get everything that isn’t praise about their surgeries deleted). “Informed consent”? Not so much, it seems.

As always, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. By all means go getting another operation to create even more scar tissue and problems. That’ll definitely help.

Reality. You can pretend it doesn’t exist as much as you like, but it’s always there with a smile when you least want it to be. Gutting, eh? 😁

For all the 'Trust the Science!" retards, how do they think they can just lose half of their skin off of their forearm and not suffer for it?

Skin isn't some passive covering, it's the largest organ on the body and it has its own complex processes.

It's like those trannies who want a uterus not appreciating that the female reproductive system is linked in to every other part of the female body, including bones, ligaments, and tendons.

These people don't seem in touch with themselves as animals.

These people aren't in touch with reality. Being terminally online will do that. Plus a lot of people are under the impression that science and medicine are always advancing at a steady pace, and every problem will be solved with enough time and research. If that's the case, then the most recent research must be what's right.

Another thing to throw on top of the pile is plain confirmation bias. I'd also bet that many of these people have never faced actual consequences in their lives until this point. Maybe that's why they don't seem to understand cause and effect. Could be connected to the constant victim complexes, they think everything happens to them. Or maybe not, who knows.

Then there are the ones who are just hopelessly retarded.

It's disgusting how they treat their bodies. They see this all as a simple alteration, like changing your avatar in a video game.

Everything about this comic is so damn girly — the art style, the expressions, the aesthetic, the interactions and body language, etc. It reeks of "female" so much it's actually comedic that they don't see it.

"My future dick."

Women always do be dreaming of growing and nurturing a new biological form in partnership with their supportive man.

I got really disappointed when he said he would give "constructive criticism" and didn't say "get a grip, it will never look or function like you want, you pathetic womanfaggot."
When did constructive criticism became praise?

Damn she had the works. They can't just 'open it up' it doesn't work like that.
I know this person is speaking English as a second language, but the way they talk about their body and gender roles sounds like something a 7-year-old would say. Zero understanding of parents outside of ‘they were like this and made the rules’ and ‘I wanted to be like my dad but now I don’t. I changed. Didn’t know that could happen’. How do people get to adulthood with so little understanding of what being human is?

There have been a few posts here about TiF art and fiction lately. It’s been a while since I had a good look at this “art form”, and it looks like there have been no improvements over the years since. The opposite, actually. I had no idea that rambling pointless rubbish and creating ‘tension’ over nothing was supposedly a good thing. Always thought it was the sign of someone with zero ideas for plot who was stuck for a way to flesh out their story outside of porn scenes. The descriptions with comparisons that make no sense. The verbal duals that no human would ever engage in. The super meaningful glance or touch that says it all and changes everything. I bet their porn scenes are the standard lubed fingers first one then two, scissor, then “I’m ready” and “I love you”. And if this makes no sense to you, think yourself lucky you’ve not read all this bullshit over and over, exactly the same in every fandom since Star Trek started it all way back when.

Gotta love the big noses and crappy pube ‘tasche in that cartoon though. At least there was some honesty there!

That panel where he just about licks her eyeball makes me want to gag. Also lol at these girls thinking they would ever be able to say something like 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You heard me.' to a partner when they can't even look their doctor in the eye when he upsells them sterilisation.

In the constant fight against nature and what is essentially biologically hardwired, they end up following the plan after all. Albeit, a bastardized abomination in their case.

TW trigger warning Not for the faint of heart--concerns about PH and stability of neovagina
SRS and GRS surgeons and associated horrors | Page 538 | Kiwi Farms aside from the obvious and disgusting hate these people spew with how they think of us (and how they dont think about our pain, preferring to call it delusion and worse), this made me notice a genuine concern

i dont know how to bring this up without sounding rude tho. i'm worried about a neo-vagina being too unlike a natal vagina internally--they mention the smell and they link a study to prove their (hateful) point. and that since its not identical to mucousal membraine like cheek cells, it means that it probably isn't as healthy. and then (TW again) they go on to talk about how there's a danger (not their words) of fecal matter leaking into the neovagina because of how not sturdy it is.

I always find myself accidentally on transphobic pages thanks to google. but since im one that wants to examine all concerns and since people tend not to want to hear negatives-well--

to avoid having to read the article--the concern is about

as someone that really wants GCS to alleviate some of my dysphoria, i really truly feel the options available don't suffice my standards/fears. and i feel stuck between a rock and a hard place, or whatever the metaphor is.

i put spoiler text in in case your eyes jump around like mine do and see things a TW ahead of time wouldn't suffice for

its amazing that they care so much about us to go out of their way to find justification for their hate, isn't it. but it really is hateful and scare tactics,

i'm just trying to find the truth between the lines. obviously its human tendency to want to feel good about things that make us feel good, and they want to hate what they hate.

Post he's referencing:
SRS hasn't been around for long enough to do a meaningful study on people who got mutilated that long ago. Until + or - the 2010s, the standard practice was gatekeeping: HRT was not recommended unless/until the therapist was confident the patient really had gender dysphoria and the patient had been living as the opposite sex for an extended period of time, then SRS was not recommended unless the patient was responding appropriately to HRT and the dysphoria persisted. On top of that, insurance did not cover it and SRS doctors were extremely rare.

In short you'd have to really dig for patients who got SRS 30-plus years ago and any data you got from them would be so suspect (self-selection, small sample size, anyone who did 41% wouldn't show up by definition) that it would not be useful from a statistical/medical perspective. It's the same issue we are going to face with pediatric transitioners in the coming years, they are just too rare to get a sufficiently large and representative sample.

Edit to avoid double post:

Ask and ye shall receive, here is the NIH study you're thinking of and here is an archive in case it gets memory-holed or rewritten.

Relevant quotes:
First, the one we all know and laugh at:

But don't worry, they documented and measured it too:

And if I am understanding this correctly the neovagina is so weak (not sure if the authors meant structural stability or lack of self-cleaning capability) that regular, heterosexual sex still increases the risk of fecal bacteria entering it:

They can literally see all of these horror photos of neovaginas, with all of the necrosis, bleeding and horrific disfigurements, and STILL need convincing that this is a horrible surgery to have. Simply amazing.

They don’t need to come to KF for that, like 90% of the pics in this thread come from Reddit in the first place.

Regarding the phallo artiste on the previous page: it reminds me of the first time I thought “what the actual fuck“ about transorism instead of “yeah, whatever, transwomen are women, sure, why not.” It was the episode of Orange Is The New Black in which the Laverne Cox character is lecturing some of the women about vulvar anatomy and says something like “I designed my own and it‘s much prettier than all y’all’s.” It was actually shocking to me, and that was before I even knew just how bad they actually are. The idea that someone was sketching out “I want my clit right here and I want a generous clitoral hood but tiny labia minora, etc. etc” was so arrogant and implausible that for a moment I doubted that TWAW and with that small mental rebellion my conversion to TERFism was a done deal.

Unless it’s to save your life or fix a serious birth defect, just don’t cut up your genitals, kids. The penalty for making sketches of your imaginary future penis will be reading this entire thread and writing a book report.

Burset never once mentions it being prettier than the other women's, only notes that she should know the anatomy as she designed one for herself. Don't insert your personal feelings into quotes and then excuse your feelings on the misquote. "I've seen some funky punani in my day. I'm not gonna leave that shit up to chance.", is not saying that her vagina is prettier than "than y'all's." That being said, I'm pretty sure Cox is still an in tact male.
