On top of everything you mentioned, it just wasn’t interesting. When a series hits what should have been its endpoint, I kind-of turn off from the series. And I just don’t buy games when they’re reportedly filled with bugs once they release. Never mind that the plot for Andromeda had a bunch of holes in it. There’s been videos about that already though.

talking about recommendations, I actually started spellforce 3 recently and played it so much I gotta shill it. writing holds up for now, even when the dialogs aren't overly vast - still goes beyond and shits on the usual tropes (I had one companion literally say "who lighted all those torches in a cave no one has entered for hundred of years?") and giving you the options to actually ask what anyone in that situation would, which was kinda refreshing. it does what it needs to do without going into some shitty novel-territory and overstaying it's welcome.
It is also completely unmarriageable with Disney's current canon. You'd have to butcher the games world building, lore, ancillary dialogue, it has references to EU shit like the Yuzhan Vong which Disney has zero interest in including into their new boring canon.
On top of everything that stupid faggot mentioned it was also shit. Andromeda has horrific writing, awful presentation, bad characters, the inability to issue squad commands, a horrendous villain, awful lore and world building, a bland and pointless open world, bad technical state, and to top it all off the female turian doesn't even have a sex scene. Finally get my chance to fuck a hot bird alien and what do I get? NOTHING.
DA: O was honestly the last of the good BioWare games. ME1 was 2007, ME2 2010, and in 2009 you had DA: O, which was an interesting blend of 2000's blood-spattered grimdark and more traditional lighter fantasy. Now its gone all in on being discount D&D, which sucks, never mind the BUTTON, AWESOME gameplay the second one had, Inquisition being a ham-fisted attempt to turn an MMO into a SP game.
It would seem weird for Amazon to do that given how much money they spent on the IP, but I definitely think this is a more common practice than one would expect. That Halo show bore such little resemblance to the original IP that I have to suspect it was some generic spaceshit script that had a search-replace done on key terms.

I dunno, the writing is still incredibly shit, the animation is horrendous, the art direction is a mess, the open world is pointless fluff, and the quest design is straight out of an MMO. It also has the worst party of any Bioware game, I felt no connection to any of them, it was like they were strictly coworkers and nothing else.
