I've been digging around today trying to find info on anyone related to distributing or creating these videos. Not sure how relevant these findings are or if they're legit but I'll document them here in case anyone's interested.

After a few searches of typical monkeyfucker keywords, and I find this Facebook page. (archive: http://archive.md/LYqs6 )

Looks fairly typical of the million pity clusterfuck. Horrible videos, weird phrasing, obsession with babies. If you click on their page reviews, there's two people complaining about BB Animal being animal abusers.

Sounds like solid confirmation to me.

If you have a look at their about section and then view their page transparency it looks like this:

We can deduct a few things from this:
1. The page was created on the 17th of June this year before having a rebrand in September.
2. There are multiple admins, one is based in Thailand (IMPORTANT INFO.)
3. They're masquerading as a video games creator.

The name Viral Views led me down to an unnecessarily long & ultimately fruitless rabbit hole of a wannabe Buzzfeed from Colombia. I documented it anyway in case you're interested or super bored. Fair warning: it's pointless.

I did a search for 'Viral Views' on Facebook and thought I'd found something worth looking at here.

First impressions: What the fuck. These photos are screaming furry.

From the multiple uploads of a dog with eyebrows and a dog that is also a spider (what?), you'd be forgiven for thinking this was some furry/monkeyfucker conspiracy. Unfortunately, it's probably not

Their creation date is almost exactly one year before the creation of BB Animals. A little weird but easily passed off as coincidence. The admin's location is different than that of BB Animal. I couldn't find any other similarities, but there is a lot of content involving dogs on their page. This might mean something, it might not.

If anyone wants to follow this lead, the guy's email is in his FB about section. I did some searching on it & couldn't find much. Guessing it's a sad coincidence that he picked the same name as a monkeyfucker.

Looking at BB Animal's actual posts, I noticed that an account called 24h Monkey is tagged. (all attempts I've made to archive this page have failed. If you're seeing this: PLEASE ARCHIVE 24H MONKEY)

This account's admin is also from Thailand, the page is also listed as video game creator, and has posts they're tagged in by BB Animal. The same person is probably running these two accounts. There's an address in the bio:

important point: 24h Monkey & BB Animal are listed as 'Creation Team' on their Facebook videos. This is a strong indication they may be the VOs.

If you put this address into Google, you get The Siam Hotel. I think there's a pretty high chance they're located somewhere in the area and have put the hotel in their bio because it's a nearby landmark.

Getting back on topic, did anyone do any more digging on this lead? I still think it's got potential.
 
On the legality issue, keep in mind that other than the anti-crush video law, many primates (including long tailed macaques) are classified as endangered. It's not just laws against cruelty videos in the US being broken, but international wildlife protection laws.

Many of the countries the VOs operate out of also have their own animal protection laws, the issue is just enforcement is patchy (poorer countries w/less resources plus the fact that illicit trafficking of macaques and other wildlife is a multimillion dollar industry).

Found this page for reporting wildlife crime in Thailand, since it sounds like there might be a VO there.

EDIT: this page on the International Primate Protection Legue talks about existing wildlife protection treaties like CITES and the issues w/enforcement and whatnot. Apparently all non-human primates are listed as CITES Appendix I or II.

The direction this thread has gone is a mistake and it's going to cause problems.

Outside of seeing the monkey-torture enthusiasts being mad or learning more about why this depraved nonsense exists and who's participating in it, I'm confused as to the entertainment or educational value of saving the poor little monkeys w/e, which seems to be what this thread has become. Now we have new retards coming in here specifically so they can join in on the Tumblr-tier moral crusade.

This kind of thing is a magnet for all the wrong types of people.

Idk the specifics, but I'm guessing however much money these people are making off this content is more than enough to pay off the authorities in these poor areas.

Anyone who thinks the cops in a place like Thailand will ever do anything is being naive and clearly doesn't understand how countries outside the first world work. They don't have the resources and they run on bribery, the cops are probably too busy trying and failing to quash the violent meth trade flooding all over their country to be worried about splitting resources off to protect what they see as rodents, especially when they could just as easily accept a few bucks and ignore it.

I’ve personally been wondering where the line is when it comes to not pozloading my negholep. I’m not against someone trying to get these animal abusers arrested, but nonetheless it is true that some kiwis have got their poop-scoopers ready.
So you could be right that it descends into a Reddit-tier moral crusade, but reading the thread has shown the work done so far to be efficient and pretty effective.

I’d read the thread if I were you, you can see that a few producers have either been scared off or arrested.
The cops aren’t completely ineffective, this isn’t some “harmless” scam outfit, or very organized on the ground.

But 4 thousand CWC dollars for a single video will make a slantie go Dahmer on a monkey. That's half my yearly pay, and these parts of the world are even poorer.
