The majority of people I've talked to have heard about "He's Hot on our Tail" and name it as the first YTP.
It used to be described as such on the CheWiki AFAIR. The official YouChew propaganda also marks it as such. The description by SuperYoshi himself calls it "the one and only original". The article on Know Your Meme features it solely, when describing the beginnings of YTP. Not surprising that majority of people share this opinion, since it's the most vocal one.

Why do you guys hate the idea of SuperYoshi getting any credit?
It's not about him just getting credit, but about repeating a false narrative. He was undoubtly among the pioneers, but trying to appoint the "inventor of YouTube Poop" is barely possible and just stupid. After all, is really a montage of video clips from varying sources, transformed using a number of selected video/audio effects, sometimes with replaced audio, such an original idea, never seen before? What about TV and film?
Do you just care about the people in the community that you disagree with on ideological grounds?
Their personal political views wouldn't mean shit, if they didn't make such a fuss about them. And besides, you're on a forum focused on making fun of insecure, exceptional individuals and communities, so they tick the necessary boxes and keep providing new material - it's really that simple. It gets especially hilarious, once you realize that they try (and in general tried since YouChew started) to build some personal fame/relevance, based on making YouTube Poops in the past - you can't make this up. They want to be seen (and respected, LOL) as some seniors of making dumb videos on the Internet! why do you guys care about YouTube Poop?
I can only speak for myself here, but I just like (or maybe liked, considering how it's fallen into obscurity) these videos. They used to be my way to get a daily dose of laughs, at the same time it introduced me to many films, cartoons, videos and music I didn't know before. I tried to make my own, but these attempts sucked way too much to get published.
Anyway, YTP had enough of a "community" on its own long before YouChew got created. YouTube used to have groups, the comment sections on channels were much more featured back then, finally most poopers just DM'd each other. YouChew intended to be a "central" for YTP, which wasn't necessarily a bad idea on it's own (especially in the light of how YouTube changed over the years), however it quickly became a circlejerk, which started poisoning the YouTube Poop world. There are many factors that contributed to the killing of YTP as a mainstream phenomenon, and, among all those, YouChew has made its mark here too, since the circlejerk's delusions were given a higher priority over just having fun. I'm not going to reiterate what's documented on over 57 pages of this thread, but here are my highlights:
- A common attitude on the forums, especially among the "VIPs" was that a "true" YouTubePoop had to be recognized by them as such. Like what, were they some YTP certification body?
- One day they started some retarded "war on AIDS". By "AIDS" (and "spadinner", a later term they coined) they referred to themes and sources they subjectively and selectively thought to be "overused", "stale", "immature" (LOL), etc. And so cutscenes from CD-i games, I.M. Meen, SMW show, AoStH, Volvic commercials were declared haram. Besides the clique stopping using them, the "war" consisted of shaming new users who brought up their new videos containing "AIDS", as well as sycopants showing up in YT comment sections and attacking "spadinner" poops, sometimes going to creators' channels too. Suffice to say this drove many creators away from making poops.
- Any poop that was too well-made might've been labelled "AIDS" as well. The YouChew circlejerk quickly got their heads deep up their asses and declared that YTP is avant-garde art, so they shouldn't tell a story, isn't made for fun and quality is measured in the number of "poopisms" it contains. YTPs made using more advanced techniques, where the editing achieved decent quality levels, footage was mixed with animation got labelled as "flash poops" (and later "AIDS"), mostly rejected by the circlejerk, and the creators got called "flashfags". As previously, many poopers got chased away by YouChew drones. For example Titleinlarge503 and Link123456, really talented people, got rid of due to this.
- YouChew was the main cause and source of drama in the YouTube Poop World. They were the channel, through which furfaggottry and politsperging was leaking in. This whole thread summarizes it pretty well.
- Many of YouChew clique got off to belittling other users, their creations. At the same time, there were some creators they just couldn't stand, who were considered "competition", who dared to "steal their spotlight". The petty vitrol towards WalrusGuy is the prime example. They were once salty towards MrSimon - he made a series of intros to YTPs, which got widely copied at one point, so YouChew fags got jealous, declared them "AIDS" and screeched how "those aren't official YTP intros". They hated CraaazyCat13's cartoons too, screeching how they aren't YTPs. Other creators they seemed to have some grudge against were 95shade and tehmorshushow.
