Not really the same (probably worse in the long run), but there's a rumour that Illumination will be doing a Zelda movie. I don't trust them to balance the serious nature of the serious with the usual levity honestly.

could they do any worse than "well excusseeee me princess!" i guess the release of the mario movie will be our only way to tell.

Lol, the Velma show is so bad the hard leftest think it was written by a right-wing person

Old Mindy Kaling is gonna be ripped apart here since she liked a JKR tweet. What till they find out her brother faked being black to get into medical school.
I have been exposed to a fair amount of Mindy Kaling's sitcom (The Mindy Project) and I can imagine where these copes are coming from. That show had some edgy/"transphobic" humor but it was still about her self-insert and the handsome successful straight white males that fell madly in love with her for no reason, sort of like Sex in the City but starring an overweight brown mutant goblin. It may be that she's not properly indoctrinated and merely carries the combo of lust/hatred/envy of paleskins common to many nth generation immigrants. See also: that tedious pajeet from Parks & Rec and his shitty self-insert show. Maybe she figures she's holding enough oppression cards that she can make any joke she wants, but the show is so bad that nobody will cut her any slack. I can only speculate because I ain't watching that shit.

Ralph bakshi
this year marks the man's 85th birthday. and 8 years since he happily retired from the industry after last days of coney island. him and Don Bluth (who hasn't quit yet and has no plans on doing so until he either dies or that dragon's lair movie is finished) are literally the last living legends of a lost and forgotten era of animation. american pop, coonskin, fritz the cat, fire and ice, the definitive lord of the rings until jackson came along, all those....in so little time. im glad the man's lived a full life and has so much to show for it...and yet,,,,

If Smiling Friends Season 2 comes out, i think Bakshi should voice a character in an episode. Either a small cameo, or full on Guest Appearance, i think it would be pretty neat.

Could we said then Ren and Stimpy cameo in the Simpsons episode "Brother from the same planet" did not aged well?
That one's okay, but Ren's reaction is underwhelming. It leans more on anger than disgust, and his eyeballs wrapping around each other and exploding feels similarly disjointed.

He included that because this was all he actually had.
I guess you have to work with what you have. I find it interesting that he references what is obviously EZPZ's video in one of the replies, but states that a lot of it is made up garbage by a bad faith "insider" (which is obvious if you actually read the allegations). This industry is so full of crap on both sides lol

I'm seeing a lot of post about Velma, not just here but across the forum at large. I'm just wondering, who the fuck is this for and how did it get greenlit? I'm not saying you can't have an edgy adult oriented kid's show spinoff but it's not funny. I'm assuming that best and funniest parts are in the trailer but I didn't get a single chuckle. So kids can't watch it because it's for adult and adults won't watch it because it's not entertaining. So back to my original question, who the fuck is the target demographic for this shit?
