I had no idea, for the longest time, actually, that wearing wigs and weaves was so common.
It was one thing to learn about it in black people, because, ok, yeah, even as a kid you see this and you raise an eyebrow:

Wigs, weaves... they all function the same way lol. Kidding aside, I agree with you. It just makes it obvious that it's not their actual hair. Bonus points if they have their "edges" meticulously lined up like the first thing someone's gonna do is nitpick the side of your head (and I think somebody on here told me that shit isn't even real either :story: ).

Lace fronts are incredible, and can really make it hard to see a lace line from afar when done right. Human hair lace fronts are probably the top notch wig/weave for people because you can wear and wash them like regular hair.

The human hair market is a rabbit hole though. Normally companies target poor countries women and shave their heads for around $7.

The amount of hair stores around here is insane. You can even buy packets of hair in bodegas. What I see here is a lot of really really long braided extensions with different colors. So there will be blonde extensions with red ones running down the middle. Or really bad ones that look more like yarn. It looks really weird. And there are extensions and hair pieces all over the street. You'll just be walking along and here's a piece of wig, there's a few braids. Why even bother? You're losing hair you paid for when it grows on your head for free. Natural hair looks better. And you won't be dropping extensions your sister's cousin's play cousin did for you last Tuesday.
