When they're going through a rotdog installation their urethra is mangled and attached to said rotdog. Sometimes they feed a catheter through that whole hamburger helper they call a "penis", but frequently have to retreat to a suprapubic one due to fistulas/infection/constrictions. Imagine dealing with this for months as your rotdog gets flayed open repeatedly to try and chase the Stand-To-Pee dragon.

Now, I've been following this thread for at least a year and ate while scrolling. Why is it THIS diagram that makes my skin crawl? ABOVE HER PUBIC BONE?

I'm trying to imagine how that would feel to pass urine through there and it is so alien and heretical, how can anyone, man or woman, feel alright spouting piss out that high up? On a woman, her belly button is proportionally lower than a man's, this hole would not be that far below it. Obviously that's not where the pelvic floor muscles are for control. No wonder they leak all the time and need gauze on their end of the rotdog. Is that a slight upward fucking arc in the urethra? I don't trust a butcher surgeon not to make that arc too high, leaving the poor Aiden constantly getting piss backwash and old urine draining back and sitting in their bladder. There's also something disturbing about how the actual urethra is there but unlabeled.

Has it been shared in the thread how FtMs cope with going to the toilet? I can't imagine the ones who get this done have the ability to hold it in any more than a 90 year old grandma who birthed 10 kids.

Unfortunately not :(

It depends on what kind of insurance. Some pay for everything, but with some there is a deductible.

So after you pay 2-4-6000$ then the insurance will pay the remaining 20-40.000$.

TLDR: Troons are a massive drain on everyone.

Usually you have a deductible you have to meet before insurance kicks in and it resets every year.

And we still pay for Medicaid out of our paychecks for low income people.

So you pay your insurance premiums which can be hundreds of dollars a month, your deductible - for me it’s 6k every year, for some policies I’ve seen up to a 13k deductible. And your Medicaid taxes.

The amount we pay for healthcare in the US vs what we receive is an absolute joke.

So basically it's like car insurance? I mean as in, if I break a windshield I owe $300 but insurance will pay foe the rest of the repair. But only once a year.

That's so weird. Of course since I'm not from the USA, our system is more like "optional or workplace insurance covers up to x a year, but after that you're on your own for stuff that isnt covered under basic medical ." I think my deductible is like $20 a year for prescription meds.


Anyway as expensive as that seems to me, I'm still left feeling bitter that a man can go pay 4k of an expensive dick removal and clog up the OR and insurance will pay the rest

That reminded me - when a M-to-F undergoes full bottom surgery, the prostate is not removed, because it's a supportive structure and also includes nerves that are necessary for urinary control and sexual function.

Theres a few surgeons in the US doing some pretty good (relatively speaking) and innovative work with leg lengthening, so much so that people from other countries are starting to come here for the procedure. Its expensive as fuck, and its mostly incels that are doing it, but its still seen as a pretty fuckin crazy procedure.
