No, pro sports are about celebrating the pinnacle of athleticism. Either you're competing at a top level or you're not worth paying attention to, and we should give up this nonsense of making up arbitrary rules to protect the egos of people who simply aren't built to be top level athletes. We can call somebody the "flyweight champion of the world" all we want, but everyone knows he's just a scrub who had to fight in a made-up division because he can't compete against the best. Exactly the same thing applies to female "champions".Sure, wouldn't it depend on the sport?
If people want to organise some women-only matches so their friends can mess around on a Saturday afternoon at the local park that's fine, and it should be their own business how they want to define 'woman' or set the rules or whether they want to let Martha from the salon play after she tackled too hard that one time.
