Apparently and i mean and "take this with a grain of salt", the time frame between Hussy's scarf that went missing and the theft of the wedding ring is two weeks, Vikki says Hussy first blamed the housekeeper and tried to get money from the agency, when that failed he decided it was Vikkis side guy that stole it, He most likely lost it out bar hopping.
