Whether it's a symptom of her mental disorders or just a lack of intelligence, Chantal doesn't seem to understand most love to see smugness slapped off smug people's faces.
She goes from a smug bitch preaching about karma straight to a victim asking why everyone hates her. She thinks she can frustrate people without them seeking and appreciating some relief.
This cycle is on steroids though.

This was a tour de force of trolling and above all it was for a good cause. Brilliantly executed and kept secret until the very moment the entire plan took place. Then there was the berserker rampage afterward, Chantal just completely livid that she was fooled by her worst enemy. Calls to the police, threats of lolsuits tears of pure frustration. All of this after a week of people worrying that she was going to murder that poor little cat only to result in an actual vet visit for the first time ever. Everything I could have asked for and more. Like a god damn fairy tale.

If you look at this you can see how fake the second live is, the first one she really thought she had a case she came out all smug, I know some people think she didn’t call authorities but I think she called and was told to fuck off and because she couldn’t ‘win’ like that she took the poor me crying route, this sounds obvious but newbies or bleeding hearts could be manipulated by this and it needs to be said.

I don’t think they actually ‘grow faster’. Older cats run and scratch less so the sheddable top claw part doesn’t get pulled off often enough. That’s why cats like to scratch. They’re not ‘sharpening’ anything. Think about the scratches they leave on furniture with their nails. The nails aren’t sharpened by soft furniture. The outer blunt shell of the claw is pulled right off to reveal the new, sharp claw underneath. When that one gets blunted by daily life the process repeats. If this doesn’t happen they continue to grow in place instead and then curl under.

As for Chantal. Her only emotion here is self-pity. No sadness at losing the cats. She’s angry with FFG and crying for herself. She’s not even ashamed of BBJs obvious neglect and she isn’t even happy that she’s been seen by a vet and isn’t in pain anymore.
She really is a selfish cow.
Even some really unpleasant people take care of and are fond of their animals. It’s truly unfathomable right now that she is crying for herself and not grateful that her elderly cat is no longer in pain.

It's been amazing to watch this narrative evolve. Now the story is she was taking BBJ to the vet specifically so that she could get the nails trimmed because, as a GOOD PET OWNER, she noticed how her cat couldn't fucking walk. BUT FFG INSISTED that she pick her up BEFORE the appointment SPECIFICALLY so that FFG could bitch about the nails. Because otherwise, there would be no way to cause "false outrage".

It's actually not a good thing when your mind is capable of rationalizing and retconning shit so you're always the innocent victim. But this does tell me she knew damn well those nails were a problem and did nothing. Nothing, until it was time to euthanize her.

Irredeemable.
