My line of work keeps me close to medical equipment production. I've dug though hundreds of cleaning IFUs for reprocessing multi-use instruments and I've been on the clean-room floor and done everything to gown up: inner jumpsuit, gloves, shoe covers, hair covers, outer jacket, and that's just for where they produce sutures. If we sent out a batch with even so much an error on how the labeling was stickered on, never mind a goddamn hair inside the packaging, the whole lot would be recalled and heads would roll. This probably isn't news to anyone here, but a very quick search through /lgbt/ archive got me this. I'm assuming Otokonoko uses a similar process. What I was interested in was the sterilisation process, and it's a doozy.

For sterilization put the sealed vial into a pot with tap water, after that boil the water, keep the water boiling for 30 min, turn off the heat, wait until the water cools off.

Needless to say that isn't enough. It's nowhere near enough.
