ALL SHALL YIELD TO CZAR GARFIELD

I would take a 50/50 bet that the majority of dilbert enjoyers don't even know who the fuck writes dilbert, and probably assume it's some mass-produced comic fodder made by some committee.

Most people don't even know any cartoonist beyond maybe Charles Schultz.
Possibly also Bill Watterson, due to some of his radical views on art and licensing

Maybe also Jim Davis, but only because he's recently become a meme due to stuff like Lasagna Cat.

Older people like me know Watterson for having one of the few comics worth looking at in the 80s, and Davis for the absolute merch juggernaut that was Garfield back then.

Watterson is one of the few syndicated cartoonists in recent memory with actually unbreakable principles who refused ever to suck Satan's cock and submit to merchandising. He quit before he could cow out, too. Somethings Adams might have considered.

It gets annoying when it's more than two pages of people doing it.
I find it more annoying when a mod is sperging out about this kind of stuff. Yes maybe you don't agree with what others are saying here, that's fair, but what they are saying is very much related to the topic and like, where else do people here really get to express this stuff? Sure I guess they can make some gay thread like "Scott did nothing wrong" and get like 3 replies but other than that your options are either get banned/cancelled on another platform or have to deal with the cancer that is 4chan or 8chan.

I think Adams just feels that all that money isn't enough, he wants clout. Dilbert is way more famous than he is. As well as being very high on the smell of his own farts for years, he's not completely stupid. This was calculated, he even did that Twitter poll beforehand. He knew "fuck niggers" would be the (almost) most sensational thing he could say, worse even than attacking troons. There's only one higher target.

I think he wants to get cancelled off YouTube and end up on Odyssey or something, with a hard-core group around him. Fuck, at this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see him on Cozy.tv by next year.

Its not about the money. He has the money. It's about sending a message.

I bet he thinks he won't get fully cancelled like Kanye because he's too slippery with his words (you know he has those lectures about which words to use). He probably thinks he's going to make the simulation manifest a white racial awakening or something, with his simulation theory (a common form of solipsism among the rich. Elon has it too).

No matter how ridiculous he is though, "if you're white don't live near niggers" is sound fucking advice, and no one will be able to refute it. Even a stopped clock and all.

This thread is about observing and laughing at Scott Adams. It is not about validating your personal views on race.

You are missing my point. Hell, I don't even fully agree with Scott, but with what Scott said and the consequences he is facing for saying what he said, it is natural that people will not only talk about whether what he said is justified or not but bring in information relating to what he said.

Just like with Keffals thread for example. Keffals will make some retarded claim, and people will discuss and show data relating to his claim. It is normal thread behavior that happens all the time, and obviously once said lolcow says something else, people will focus more on what the lolcow theirself has said.

Policing conversation like this and being "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU GUYS NOT TO DO THIS GRRRR" is Reddit in its purest form. Last thing I will say about this.

I don't agree with Clott on most things but the man has a hundred million dollars to spend during his golden years while posting /pol/ shit on Twitter. He won as much as Watterson but in a very different way.

He expresses controversial opinions on race in public. Obviously people are going to discuss the content of what he said while discussing him. I hope you're referring to not derailing the thread with nigger statistics rather than a hard-ban on any mention of Scott's political statements. That would be about the equivalent of some retarded game studio discussing their politics on a Twitter account, shoving those same politics into their game & then the /v/ janitor banning people for mentioning the topic.

Gary Larson for absurdist humor that never tried to have a deeper message. Berke Breathed for wry social commentary from the left that somehow managed to not be self-righteous or vicious. Gary Trudeau for being everything Breathed wasn't, including refusing to retire when he should have (immediately), and cursing the papers with smug, self-righteous shitlibbery before shitlib was a word. Bil Keane for saccharine levels of smarminess that gave you diabetes just by reading it, and never learning how to draw a car or tell a joke. Cathy Guisewhite for expressing the neuroses of a single woman who'd bought into careerist feminism, but couldn't admit it was failing her, and also not being funny because she's a woman. And Bill Amend, because Foxtrot was really the last truly funny strip to hit the papers before the internet destroyed the papers.

Those are the ones off the top of my head.
