Who is SteeleWorldWide?

SteeleWorldWide, or Trent Steele if you prefer, is a YouTuber from Pennsylvania, USA who has been active since 2009 on his main channel and since 2011 on his secondary channel. He also has a Rumble account but his activity there is sporadic at best, YouTube is his home. He's also on Twitter at @TRENTSTEELE1. Trent Steele is a man of simple pleasures. He really, really loves malt liquor:

And he loves the McRib, which he frequently refers to on video as "absolutely fuckin' delicious":

Trent frequently dines on fast food and TV dinners, and makes videos doing so (while drinking malt liquor, of course). McDonald's is a favorite, but he notably does not much care for Burger King.
He also loves Donald Trump. Here is his Trump cardboard cutout.

You may also note a large stack of bills present in most of his videos - those are $1 bills, and over the years that stack has steadily grown larger. I don't know if he adds a bill to it every video or what but it's comically tall now and despite it consisting entirely of ones, it's probably a decent chunk of money at this point.
Here he is celebrating Trump's victory on November 9, 2016:
You may notice a trend of stacked malt liquor boxes as furniture. Literally every video he films in his house has these, no matter what room it's in.
Trent frequently wears a ski mask when he films a video, but generally only when it's in his own home. In public he's unmasked because even he's not that crazy, although recent events might make you believe he in fact is that crazy, but we'll get there in due time.
Terminology and Mannerisms
Over the course of studying Trent Steele, one may notice he has certain mannerisms, words and phrases that he uses consistently throughout his videos. It becomes a comforting routine as a regular viewer to see and hear these day in and day out. I'll go over a select few:
History
I first discovered Trent in 2011, when he had around 2,000 subscribers. The dedication to malt liquor intrigued me, and it was the sort of weird people-watching content I'm drawn to, and I've been following him ever since. But what makes him a lolcow? For starters, this man drinks at least one full 40oz of malt liquor nearly every day. It's not uncommon for him to drink a 40oz for his main channel, and then immediately record another malt liquor video (referred to as MLV from here on out) to post to his second channel. And he's been doing it consistently, the exact same way, for 14 years straight. I can't remember a time where he uploaded fewer than 3-5 MLVs per week. In order to capitalize on current events, he has made some "Malt Liquor Reaction Videos" although this practice has largely stopped in recent years, aside from when a sports injury happens and he films himself laughing at it while drinking malt liquor.

He also made videos where he eats large amounts of fast food (while drinking malt liquor of course). He's no deathfat, but this is more than I'm comfortable eating;
ENJOY A 40oz and 4 McRibs - Epic McRib Time
But far and away his best videos of this era, which I think you'll all agree with me are true kino, are the ones where Trent braved the elements to drink malt liquor:
Amazing Flood Footage - Man Enjoys A 16oz Can of Malt Liquor During Storm
CHUG A 40oz on a Boat
Trent has a very specific blueprint he follows in his videos: he drinks malt liquor, only malt liquor, with the label out so the viewer can easily see what brand he's drinking, he always tosses the cap, and he likes to tap the bottle. Rap music blasts out his shitty Bluetooth speaker as he does this (which leads to most of his videos being demonetized these days). When he gets near the bottom of the bottle, he'll say "approaching the swill," swish the malt liquor around in the bottle, and finish it off. He always finishes a 40 in 10 minutes or less, and he always drinks from either a glass 40 (preferably) or an aluminum can. When Olde English 800 switched from glass to plastic he stopped drinking it entirely, until they came out with a new 42oz bottle made of glass.
This was how he grew his early audience, but in the mid 2010s he more or less stopped the clickbait because it wasn't as effective as it used to be. Luckily, people who enjoy weird fringe content had found him and he was featured in a writeup in New York Magazine (archive).
He also received a shoutout from Jeff Gerstmann, of Giant Bomb fame, on a Giant Bombcast in early 2016. I however have been unable to find footage of this. Trent got a decent number of new subs from this, and shouted them out in a video.
Unfortunately, this success was not to last for our boy Trent, as he is somewhat of an adversarial chap, frequently telling other malt liquor Youtubers to kill themselves and otherwise talking a lot of shit. That, combined with the unwavering Trump support that continues to this day (probably more the latter), the media attention dried up and people of a certain political persuasion were all but turned away. The next few years were rather uneventful for Trent. He kept putting out MLV after MLV, his small but dedicated fanbase kept watching and commenting, until one fateful day in 2020.
January 26, 2020: Maga hat trigger at the Barclays center
In what is unquestionably Trent's most popular video to date, he was in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, wearing his bright red MAGA hat that had been seen in countless MLVs up to this point. Some other gentlemen took offense to this and the following exchange took place:
This video did pretty well among his fanbase at the time but it wasn't until several months later that the YouTube Algorithm took notice and the video started really taking off. In October of 2020, it hit 100,000 views, then 200,000 views, and at present it sits at over 2 million views. At some point it also became a YouTube Short (YouTube's attempt to compete at TikTok which is very aggressively pushed by YouTube) which surely has only helped its rise. This video, but more importantly, the attention Trent got from it, gave rise to the current era of SWW: the trolling era. This is where, to me, he went from being an eccentric individual to a true lolcow. First, he had an encounter with @FROG and some Comicsgate guys which I would be remiss to not mention (first mention here), although truth be told I don't follow Comicsgate at all so this incident went totally under my radar at the time. However, this demonstrated to a new audience his negative behaviors and ire for anyone who doesn't suck his dick. The Comicsgate thread did some digging on him but quickly moved on. I, however, was a follower of Trent for a decade at that point, and I continue to be to this day, so I can bring all the fun autistic details.
In the last few years, Trent has taken to going out every weekend, traveling across the Northeast (but mostly PA and NYC), drinking in public, violating open container laws, and harassing random people, while filming his every encounter no matter how awkward it is or how bad it makes him look. Some highlights:
Trent is mad that he can't get tickets for something and yells at people who tell him to calm down.
Trent has an altercation with some police officers and tells them he'll "have your badge" when they tell him to fuck off. He also claims they assaulted him (PROTIP: they didn't).
Trent harasses a Secret Service agent and asks him where the reptilians are.
Conspiracy theories
Trent believes, or claims to believe, in several conspiracy theories. The most notable ones are flat earth, the existence of weather control machines by various governments (principally the US government as that's where he lives), reptilians, just to name a few. He will frequently bring these up, and also name his videos "Flat Earth" etc.

It is unclear to me if Trent genuinely believes any of this, or whether he simply claims to as a trolling effort. If that is the case, Trent is very good at not telling people he's only pretending to be retarded, which as an editorial aside, is exactly how you're supposed to do it when you're trolling people.
Calling out other MLV Youtubers
This is a common trend in Trent's videos, he does it virtually every MLV. He will call out one or more fellow malt liquor Youtubers, telling them they should kill themselves, criticizing them for real or perceived slights to malt liquor, etc. Targets of his ire include Bobbi Meyer and Fat Reggie. This is common practice in the malt liquor community, and is often nothing more than banter the way it used to be on the Internet, where you could tell people to kill themselves and everyone knew it was just banter without everyone having a coronary. Sometimes there are real slights, however, like a malt liquor Youtuber who was caught putting vintage labels on new bottles to fake drinking vintage, expired malt liquor - a big no-no in the community for reasons that should be obvious even to those not in tune with the scene. Trent has made sure repeatedly to call out these real slights in addition to the usual banter.
The advent of YouTube Shorts seems to have only accelerated his attention-seeking, confrontational behavior as practically all of his public videos are Shorts, and he puts out several videos a week, every time he hits the town. What's next for Trent? Probably jail, but until then, he'll keep drinking malt liquor and eating unhealthy amounts of fast food and TV dinners.
In closing, here he is in a video from yesterday trying to twist a cap off.

Terminology and Mannerisms
Over the course of studying Trent Steele, one may notice he has certain mannerisms, words and phrases that he uses consistently throughout his videos. It becomes a comforting routine as a regular viewer to see and hear these day in and day out. I'll go over a select few:
"The Blueprint" - This is a very common thing in the malt liquor community. To follow the blueprint is to consume the entire 40 in 10 minutes or less, have the label out so the viewer can see at all times which brand you're drinking, and not leave any foam in the bottle.
"Foam" - Pretty straightforward, this is the foam causes by improper drinking. If you drink your 40 properly, there won't be any foam left at the end. Leaving foam is considered bad form in the malt liquor community and malt liquor Youtubers such as Trent will often call out, with varying levels of seriousness, other drinkers who leave foam. You may hear Trent say "WB foam" or "Dorf foam" in his videos, those are referencing other Youtubers he knows and/or is beefing with.
Bottle tapping - This is very important to Trent, and he will always tap the bottle. The sound made by repeatedly tapping a glass bottle may be why he abhors plastic so much.
Thumbs up - Very frequently, you will see Trent give a thumbs up with his free hand as he drinks a 40. I may or may not have incorporated this by meme osmosis into my real life, regardless of what I'm drinking. Yes, it's cringe. No, I don't care.
Talking shit on other malt liquor Youtubers - Very common. Sometimes it's simply bants, sometimes it isn't. More on this later.
Music - When filming videos in his own home, Trent invariably plays music (most often gangster rap) while he drinks, pausing the music to speak at various intervals. Occasionally, he plays other music to signify certain events. I'll list a few of the most common:
"Ain't That a Kick In The Head" by Dean Martin: Trent likes to play this as he pans the camera over some fast food, TV dinner, or frozen seafood he has reheated to consume on camera. This is reserved for food he calls "absolutely fuckin' delicious" which is most food he eats.
"McRib's Back": A parody song that's about the McRib, Trent likes to play this when...well, you can figure it out.
"Jason" by Jadakiss: This is another song he regularly plays while panning over food.
"Very Super Famous" by Jon LaJoie: I still don't know if he plays this ironically or not.
He plays a lot of different songs but those are ones you will encounter regularly.
Trent also likes to say "MALT LIQUOR" with various inflections and tones, followed immediately by him imbibing the namesake ambrosia. He will start virtually every video with "time to make a malt liquor video" and/or "time to get shitfaced (again)."
"Foam" - Pretty straightforward, this is the foam causes by improper drinking. If you drink your 40 properly, there won't be any foam left at the end. In the video, a man wearing a black ski mask and an orange Adidas track jacket is seated in what looks like a suburban garage behind a makeshift desk fashioned from a pair of cardboard boxes. To his left, a Christmas tree; to his right, a pair of American flags and a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump. The clip is, in a sense, an endorsement of the GOP front-runner, though how effective it might be is anyone’s guess. “Trump wins again in Oregon,” the man declares, “while fucking Hill-dog loses to a fucking communist. What does that tell you, Hillary Clinton? You should be going to fucking prison. Trump 2016 — going to make American great again.” Then, after a pause: “Malt liquor!”
C-Murder’s “Down for My Niggas” blares from a set of cheap speakers as our host cracks the cap on a frosty glass bottle of St. Ides and starts guzzling.
This video, recently posted to YouTube, isn’t the manifesto of some drunken redneck militiaman, wannabe bank robber, or homegrown terrorist sympathizer, but the latest manifestation of an internet fandom whose sole mission is to evangelize on behalf of a favorite beverage: malt liquor.
