I don't think drewy manipulated me any more then I did them but they did make lots of accusations that confused me over time. I don't think they were using me, we had a good relationship at the start. It's really complicated.
It sure is. When I get a moment I'm going to try and summarise for everybody just how complicated it is. Just a note on forum etiquette here, double posting is frowned upon. You can use the little edit thing at the bottom of your post to add more if you think of more.
OK I'm going to edit it Into this post. Avery jump on and correct me if any of this is way off.
The Drewy story in major points as told to me by Avery.
Drewy's mother was seriously abusive. Her father was not on the scene. The trips to Barbados and Disney were happening when Drewy was being shunted around relatives. This is the root of Drewy's mental problems.
Drewy is highly intelligent and manipulative.
Drewy jumped ship from her abusive mother at a very young age to live with Avery which has given her a lever with which to blackmail Avery, saying that she was underage. I suspect this if it were ever tested would be a "romeo and Juliet" case.
Drewy was fairly normal until this incident at the NASA Trip where something appeared to go neurologcially wrong. Drewy was combative with medics and would not stay still for MRI or other testing. Insurance caused delays to other testing in the immediate aftermath.
She had been to that hospital a few times over the past few years but not enough to be considered a frequent flier.
No diagnosis of stroke, paralysis due to nerve entrapment or anything like that was ever given formally. These were "maybes" mooted by different docs at different times and never confirmed by testing.
Drewy did have some muscle and reflex weakness which would be consistent with a nerve entrapment and the wheelchair at least was prescribed for her due to this.
A clot buster drug was given at hospital 2 as a precaution but the window had indeed been missed for diagnosing and treating ischaemic Stroke.
Along with apparent nerve issues Drewy also presented at this time with a baffling range of neurological symptoms including rage attacks, worsening deafness and screaming meltdowns and throwing things. Avery is unsure whether Drewy was always crazy and just hiding it up to that point. He says he doenst know what to believe truly and that she is capable of convincing anyone of anything. Avery thinks there may be something wrong with Drewy's brain.
I personally believe there is at least some element of FND or conversion disorder here.
Drewy does have EDS and a spine x Ray showed some unstable vertebrae which would explain symptoms like the transient Radiculopathy in her arm that she described as paralysis.
You can see from observing Drewy now that she doesnt seem to be suffering from a degenerative brain condition, things seem to be improving for her.
Drewy was and does associate with people Avery knows to be outright Munchies including a girl who would walk around her basement apartment on zoom, carry her wheelchair up the stairs and get into it to go out. He believes that although Drewy is a munchie, she doesn't intend to be and is or was delusional about having these medical conditions.
Drewy was psychotic, so broken from reality that Avery had to install cameras to prove to her that he wasn't removing items from her room, and even when shown on camera she would have trouble believing him.
Drewy eventually caused Avery to lose his job by sending police to his work with accusations of abuse.
Avery is concerned that she can make a lot of trouble for him as she is very clever and can run rings around him.
Drewy has admitted recently to a mutual friend that she knows she didn't have a stroke but she did believe at the time that she had had one.
Drewy had a brief episode of gastroparesis from medication but continued to beleive she had it after it had passed. This fits with my gut feeling that Drewy hangs onto diagnoses after the symptoms improve.
Avery thinks that Drewy is now realising that they were wrong about the medical stuff and is becoming more able to address it but they do not have direct contact.
Pearl the morkie was never a seizure dog that was a lie. She was being trained to recognise sounds as a hearing support dog and was really good at it and did respond to sign language. A couple of times she "alerted" to a pots or "seizure" attack but likely because drewy was acting strange. Drewy only ever had a few "seizures".
