This is a fun rabbithole! YT had recommended me some her videos but never got the appeal. I did briefly follow how she had the nose surgery and the boob jobs very close with each other (and wtf about the boob job making it a holier than thou thing -and "surprise" the husband)
I listened this youtube to follow the drama (any place specific - something to listen to while doing chores?)

The botched nose job and "secret" boob job are just the tip of the ice berg in what makes her cow worthy to be honest.

She was fine up until the pandemic, a bit odd but nothing major. She currently has a mental health diagnosis, can't remember what, possibly BPD, which she isn't taking her meds for. She cycles between catatonically depressed and manic, hence making impulsive decisions like leaving her whole life in Sydney behind to live with her fans. She keeps saying the shift in her personality is just her being her "authentic self".

During Australia's lockdown, she'd often have drunken rants on her instagram story, where the illusion her cutesy image was totally shattered.

Bit of a weird home situation too, she used to live with both her husband and ex boyfriend in the same apartment, despite her ex clearly still being infatuated with her.

Also the bird hoarding! It wasn't too bad when she lived in Sydney, she had a parrot and a dove which were manageable.

When she moved to Tasmania the bird situation got out of hand, she's now got dozens of pigeons living in rented apartments with her, which she's been kicked out of a few times due to the birds shitting everywhere. She continues to let these pigeons breed and will most likely end up with hundreds of them.

She inserted herself very quickly into a friendship group in Tas, made up of her Internet fans. Really unsure about what's going down there, but pretty convinced she got herself involved in some sort of poly relationship whilst her husband is back on the other side of the country.

Very odd.

YouTube went to shit when they started letting people make money with it by monetizing videos. The days of making a YouTube channel and posting videos of you acting like a retard and getting famous for it are over. I mean people might watch them, but you aren't going to get famous or rich that way. You won't even become a minor internet celebrity. These days people expect a little more from YouTube content. Most of the really popular stuff is professional and as someone said there are whole teams of people behind it. The days of buying a $1,000 camera and a $300 mic and becoming a major "content creator" are done. I really hate that fucking term. Someone who sits around and read the news to you is a content creator now. A human text to speech translator.

Then you have all the E-beggars that want you to donate to their Patreon Subscribe Star and Buy Me A Coffee. This is the 21st century version of the guy sitting on the sidewalk or park bench plucking a guitar or some other instrument with a hat in front of him expect you to give him money. The US economy is so garbage tier that this is what people do for a living now. I can't forget about the circle jerkers though. Telling people the stupid shit they want to hear is really profitable it seems. It will keep you in enough money to keep a moderate roof over your head and maybe pay some bills. All you have to do is a tell dumb chuckle fucks what they want to hear and click bait them like they are Boomers and you can make some money.

Most of the population is too fucking dumb to get ad block so these people will keep going. Unless they say something YouTube doesn't like and then they banished to one of the alternate sites and they usually die of obscurity there. I remember seeing the video a few years ago where Stefan Molyneux was whining because only a very small percentage of his YouTube audience followed him to Bit Chute. I think it was in the single digits.

Also a few years ago Mr. Obvious got hacked and he gone now. But I got sick of him pretty quick because he just did click bait and stupid shit. I used to subscribe to The Quartering but he acted like a douche bag in one of his videos so I don't watch him anymore. I really don't want to hear him peddle his hipster coffee. I don't even drink coffee. But he always said he didn't expect to popular on YouTube forever and it would eventually end. He said he was going to keep his job for that reason. I don't know if he stuck to that or not and I don't really care.

Everyone is selling "merch" now which is annoying. Tool sets water bottles mugs shirts hats and so on.

If the government ever cleared out the SSDI rolls in the US a lot of these people would go broke. I don't see how anyone who has to work for living can just give money to some of these people. If any of these E-beggars ever have to go get a job the suicide rate is going to spike.

The only person I still listen to occasionally is StyxHexenHammer. But he can get really cringey and Boomer tier.

I'm starting to think that the backlash he got for his Joker review was the end of him. He never truly recovered after that video.

Looking at his channel, it really does seem like he's trying to be YMS with putting more focus on quickies or reviews of movies in theaters vs putting out the traditional longer reviews of bad movies like the ones on Cool Cat (YMS) or Sleepless (RTMM). It's funny how he gave Doug shit for having to do NC after the failure of Demo Reel yet when Ralph had to deal with criticism for the Joker review, he slowly self-destructed. Doug wins again.

I think I know what they're talking about. It feels like there's some kind of animosity there in the background.

The problem is that at this point, the relationship between the insular indie scene and the pedestrian videogame interested public is clearly almost directly antagonistic. Civvie seems to have his lot in with the other side, and he strikes me as being of that breed of "grumpy tough guy liberal", a la Adam Sessler.

Therefore all it would take is for some drama to break out where, for example, one of his female buddies (real or pretend female) started getting flack in order for him to get dragged into it, and that would create a permanent fissure between him and his audience as he finally told them what he really thinks (it may have been a joke when he called his audience "weird manchildren with starchy body pillows that cut glass", but I don't think it's too far off) .

Maybe people know more than I do. That's just the impression I get though.

I watch Civvies videos. Of course I don't know what he does outside of YouTube. As long as he doesn't put his politics in his videos I will watch them. Though I haven't been watching them much. I did watch some of his newest Doom video about the extra episode Bethesda added to their release of Doom 1993. But he is fine. You have to understand that's Civvie schtick. He acts like a grumpy nerd in his videos.

Nerds have always been a bunch of left leaning faggots mostly. It's nothing new.

Mulling it over a bit I have come up with 2 possible scenarios as to what would happen if things go super critical

1) someone in the community has a meltdown that divides it, people split into two teams for/against and the whole thing splinters
2) someone in the community does something that the fandom does not like and you have a gamergate style cascade event where said community members circle the wagons and declare the fandom no longer their audience (a la the "gamers are dead" articles) and start to actively hate and attack them

my top three as to the people who would trigger the flashpoint are the following
1) ultrakill guy
2) new blood games
3) civvie
all three of these guys seem like one bad day away from a massive spergout

message to all casual fans: keep a suitcase packed in the closet; things will get really bad, really fast

as a tangent:
the friend/enemy distinction is the name of the game, these guys are all friends and will take turns stomping on your head if you cross any one of them while their fans cheer them on
if you want to survive (IRL and on the Internet) you need to form up with people you can trust. It doesn't need to be a large group, it is better to have 5 guys you would walk through hell together than 50 you barely know and will run when things get a bit uncomfortable

People are just being autistic. Civvie does a grumpy nerd character in his videos. It's like a spoof of people that actually act like that. He doesn't do it in all his videos. Sometimes he brings back the prisoner act as well. He isn't be held in some kind of secret prison underground either.

BroTeamPill (real name Sean Weaver) is an alcoholic weed addicted film school graduate with a lot of personal issues who collected a lot of funny people around him. He streamed a lot (A LOT) of terrible MMOs, shitty mods, terrible games, etc. for twitch, and had edited down streams put on his youtube channel. His youtube channel was old (he did videos for machinima way back in the day) and was full of stuff nu-youtube wouldn't approve of, so it got banned for some reason a couple of years ago. His twitch got banned because he was playing cringe anime coomer games and had a few too many porn slips. His most recent twitter I knew of (something similar to timecop) was banned for posting about how the Gay Mens' Choir that made the "We'll Convert Your Kids" video had several convicted pedophiles in it. His audience watched him for his reactions to shitty games and for the funny stuff he and the people he were playing with would get up to, and then would go to a cytu.be instance called "CoolHole" where they would watch dumb videos or shitty movies while having a much more personal experience with him in the chat. He generally bucked the trend of twitch streamers

Here's his playthrough of Revolution 60 that features a few guests and gives a good idea of what he was like in 2016. I watched this live and the stream disappeared really fast because he was obliterated drunk and ranting about how much he hated the scottish at the end (please somebody tell me theres an archive of this).

It was likely due to one of two videos he uploaded: a video where he uses text to speech to read posts from incel/femcel forums, or one in which he tested the word filter in the latest halo game and tried to get as much offensive shit past the filter as possible. Either way, some no-no words were said and YouTube jannies swept him up real quick.

Reply button on your post is not working for me but thanks for the detailed breakdown. He brings back the mid 2010s very well. Edgy, screamy, angry LPer, Revolution 69, its insane male creator and his drama-seeking, people trying to push the envelope on youtube. It was all so cool until people lost their patience with it. Guess he was one of the pre-2010 YTers who didn't do well as the 2010s worse on.
