A seventh-grade student went on a shooting rampage at a school in Belgrade, Serbia, early on Wednesday, killing eight children and a security guard, the Serbian police said.

The shooting took place around 8:40 a.m. at Vladislav Ribnikar primary school, in the upscale neighborhood of Vracar, Veselin Miljic, the chief of the Belgrade police, said at a news conference. The student entered the school with two pistols, one that he had taken from his father’s apartment, and four Molotov cocktails, which he prepared himself.

While his motive was not known, the student had “planned the execution of this criminal offense for a long period of time,” said Mr. Milijic, who shared a list of names that the perpetrator had compiled and a sketch map of the school, where he had charted a path to enter and kill his “primary targets.”

This seventh grade students name is Kosta Kecmanovic. After some digging I found these

There are 2 potential motives I've come across which are:
- He got a bad grade in history
-He was getting bullied

His father is Dr Vladimir Kecmanovic, a very successful radiologist. It's believed that Kosta used his fathers gun for the shooting. It's also believed that his father knew of the alleged bullying and instead of taking him to see a psychologist, he took his son to a shooting range, which may explain the Airsoft interests on his Facebook.

That's right folks. Serbia just joined the ranks of school shooting nations. Here's the the article detailing the shooting. (in serbian, use google translate)

For those who don't want to bother reading articles, I'll give you a rundown on what happened:

Morning, 3rd of May in the morning, a 14 year old boy with the initials K.K. whose name I didn't yet find out cuz legal reasons, went into the school "Vladislav Ribnikar" then shot and killed 9 people, 8 children and 1 school guard. More people are wounded, but the exact amount of victims will be clear later. The boy was wrestled and overpowered by a teacher who took the gun away and kept K.K. on the ground until police came in to arrest him proper.
K.K. Reportedly lowered the firearm after killing his classmates, called the police on himself and waited until they arrested him. It was probably a teacher who confiscated the gun.

K.K. was described as a well mannered kid with excellent grades. He wasn't the most extroverted person and thus he was the target of bullies. Now, before you point at your PC and think "BULLYING CAUSED DISS!!!!1!11!", theres another side to the coin. You see, a day or two before the shooting, K.K. got his first bad grade in history, the equivalent of a C for westernoids.

He's got access to a gun due to his father being a member of the police force, thus he did little else but open the box where his father kept the gun and bullets, rest is history.
New info:
He's got access to a gun NOT because his dad is a police officer, his father actually turns out to be a doctor. K.K. was reported to frequently visit the gun range with his father, implying K.K. had pre established skill and know how around firearms.

5/4/2023- The president gives a speech about the shooting.

Overall, whole thing is a shitshow. I can provide details as they come in the thread but this'll have to do for now.

Most of Serbia's population is white so I don't think so. He got the gun from his father, who would take him shooting to help him mentally cope with the bullying.

What is known so far?​

  • A seventh-grade student is suspected of opening fire on comrades, teachers and security workers at the „Vladislav Ribnikar school in Belgrade
  • Eight children and a school guard were killed, while six children were injured, as well as a teacher - the MUP confirmed
  • Three wounded children were transferred to the Children's Clinic in Tiršova, and the other wounded, including a teacher at the Urgent Center.
  • Health officials say they are in the footsteps of the operation of the wounded in the Emergency Center, as well as that at least one student is in serious condition
  • The suspect had two pistols he took from his father and four Molotov cocktails, police officials say
  • The child went with his father in a shooting for exercise, said Police Minister Bratislav Gašić
  • The suspect did not tell the police the motive

President Vucic told a news conference that the arrested man planned to throw Molotov cocktails at the entrance, in order to prevent anyone from preventing him during the attack, but that he was scared and did not do it.

Almost all of it is names of other students. I know Cyrillic but not Serbian, and some words are illegible, so this is all just guesses:

Vasiliye Vitas, Helena Komneyovich, Vladimir Popevich, Vukai Zhivkovich, Mara Andzhelkovich, (?) Vukich, Yelisaveta Starich, Vira Todorovich, (?) Adzhimovich, Andria? Chiket?, Andrey (?), Adriana (?), Vidak Medevkovich?, Lazar Storiavich, Petre Tralkovich.

Like I said, just educated guesses.

Гл.М, I don't know for sure. I'm sure the previous reply is correct that the first part is главна/и, but М. is ambiguous to me.
