Post Op SRS - Questions

Hey everyone I had vaginoplasty SRS done on June 7th at GRS Montreal with Dr. Laungani. I am 28 days post-op, almost a month. My experience was rough being honest, I had some excessive bleeding and had some fainting episodes due to low blood-pressure, days after surgery. I can safely say I am getting better everyday and am in a much better place now. I just had some questions for my fellow sisters who’ve had this surgery. Possibly looking for some motivation as well, as there are definitely some tough days still ahead.

When did you start feeling better being able to live normally again? I still just feel so fragile and sore. My gait is still affected and I still walk funny hahaha. I’ve always been a very active person and it’s been dawning on me that I am unable to enjoy the summer, especially living in winter for 6months/year. Not being able to do what I want has really affected my mental health. However I do recognize that this just a temporary challenge and I can get through it!!!

When were you able to wear normal clothes again? I’ve always had dysphoria wearing leggings, biker shorts, tight pants, swim bottoms, etc. This is something I am looking forward to doing, hopefully soon :/

How do you get through dilating? I have some good days and some off days with dilating. I have tried to diagnose my negative relationship with dilating. Definitely better now, it used to be so hard. I just find it so uncomfortable sticking such a hard piece of plastic inside me 4x a day. I’m guessing the discomfort is due to the tenderness that still lingers on my wounds. Hoping it gets better.

Those are just some of my questions and I’m just relying on motivation from those who have gotten through this fate. Thank you!!!!!

If anyone has any questions for me as well, lmk. I’d also be happy to share my experience in the near future, if anyone would be interested.
