If anything, all these jokes about “Trump got Epstein’d in jail” are going to look pretty foolish if word gets out that he will only just sit for a few days in jail, or maybe just do a mugshot and call it day.

Just the fact that they’re even considering putting him in jail to begin with before the GOP debates start on Wednesday is proof that Trump made the right call skipping the debate and talking to Tucker Carlson.

I'm curious how that interview will go. Tucker was not very happy about the post-election campaign to overturn the election the election, and he seems to think that Trump is kind of a buffoon in general. But he can't be too harsh on Trump, because a good portion of the base still loves the guy no matter what. It's going to be a tricky balancing act of trying to hold him accountable for some of his idiotic decisions and moral failures (eg. no pardons for Jan 6 non-violent protesters) without being overly harsh.

i don't know how the millenial vote will turn out, but zoomers? people who are, at max, 24 years old? "the youth vote will turn out to vote for trump" is gigantic cope, even compared to the normal "the youth vote will surely help elect socialist progressives"

I’m talking relative to 2022. The zoom zooms who turned out that year were mainly the ones obsessed over social issues, but in 2024 there will be economically concerned zoom zooms who will turn out and make the zoomer vote more R friendly than it was in 2022. Probably more R friendly than it was in 2020 as well. I’m not saying Trump wins the zoom zoom vote but he will IMPROVE on the margins, and in 2024 he might actually be the first Republican Presidential candidate to win the millennial vote, which has shifted quite a bit since they voted Obama by landslide margins

i think you're underestimating the continuing effect that roe v wade has had on the republican brand. zoomers and millenials won't turn away from the democrats as long as stories like these keep coming out

until the republican party stops doing moves that shows women (republican, democrat, educated, non-educated, all of them) that their life may be put in danger with a complicated pregnancy where it hadn't been before roe v wade was overturned, zoomers (gallup polls at being 64% "pro-choice") and millenials (56%) will think long and hard before voting for anyone with an R next to their name. pointing at the economy won't work if women keep seeing news stories of people who look like them and have gone through similar experiences as them talk about how they might be dead with republicans in charge

He's planning to sue the RNC for kicking him out of the upcoming debate, in the same way he sued the RNC for California for trying to kick him out during the recall election. He claims to have met all of the threshold requirements to participate in the debate.
