Someone broke into his apartment specifically to steal a bottom-shelf handgun, a tablet device and his "joke book" [not a published work by a (legitimate) author, but a bound "Star Wars" diary containing his "cleverness", or some such nonsense] - because, like with the alleged 2011 DDoS attacks on his blog, they, "didn't like what I have to say".

The NRA specifically targeted him for "harassment", sending a "white supremacist" to his door - whom he "neutralized".

Members of the OnA forums targeted him "at random" for no other reason at all than a xeet saying he didn't find Norm MacDonald was funny [nothing whatsoever to do with being a complete jackass on the old Opie and Anthony sub-reddit and, in collusion with creepy "Uncle" Paul, filing abusive DMCA take-downs over pictures specifically altered for parody and criticism.

His critics are all "white supremacists" because someone posted a hoax Craigslist ad which featured a picture of a crying black baby [but made no mention of either "kidnapping" or "murder" or "grinding children into pepperoni"]... Oh, and the police report someone else allegedly made about that ad which allegedly resulted in a visit by the MPD was a "swatting".

The hoax calls to police all constitute "swatting", despite the fact that under Wisconsin law such an event only legally rises to the level of "swatting" if it causes a response by a - wait for it - SWAT Team or other specialized tactical response unit [officers making a "welfare check" in the normal course of their duties is not, "swatting"], and they were all made with the specific intent - fatboy can read minds, you know - of causing him and his frumpy, dumbfaced "wife" to be murdered.

With regard to said frumpy, dumbfaced "wife", she has suffered direct "'rape' threats" because someone once said they wanted to do her and because, as he put it, "she would never consent so it's rape".

Now his critics, no matter how soft or deserved the criticism, and even people who simply fail to shower him with the degree of praise he imagines he deserves, are animal abusers - in addition to all belonging to a "terrorist cult" and equally guilty for a bomb threat to a Patti LaBelle concert [he's provided no actual evidence other than his own self-serving claims that this threat was either about him, that it "mentioned" him or that the person who was responsible for it was the same person making hoax reports to his local police or that they have any connection to this website or OnA], a bomb threat to the American Family Field [there is no actual evidence any threat was made to American Family Field during the Brewers' home-opener, let alone one made to specifically target him or that was made in his name] and some other alleged threat he doesn't specify.

There's no lie he wont tell and no utterance of any person who is in any way critical of him he wont embellish to further make himself out to be the paragon of victimhood.

It's all so tiresome.

It's also very fat. Hideously fat. Morbidly obese, you might say.

Bogus bomb threats are taken very seriously and six with the same names given would mean that the Feds would be very interested in the real person behind this given identity.

Even the stupidest of weens or “pranksters” would know that making bomb threats would be pushing it a bit far with the Feds. And when they have a good enough reason, they can pull phone records, trace back emails, and I doubt weens would go to the effort of poison pen notes.

Swating is serious, but bombs in venues mean major death, serious economic damage, and public confidence in the authorities shaken.

Yep.

They needed to be able to carry them around and indeed use them.

For a period, a longsword was more the equivalent of a compact pistol for self defense.
Most classes would carry and learn how to use one if they were traveling or visiting strange parts.
Highwaymen and muggers were a real danger, even for peasants and rude mechanicals.
Longswords work in both defense for blocking and countering blows, and do serious damage on the attack.

Daggers were not as useful unless you had the drop on your opponent or you were two knights in full plate rolling around trying to stick the blade in a weak chink. (In the armor, not for stabbing Fong Jones on sight)

Quarterstaves were common for the same reason with the added bonus of doubling as a walking stick and being tolerated in towns which made you check swords at the gate.

Obviously one needed to be fit and strong to use one effectively, but people then either were, dead, or hired guards.
