This comment chain made me laugh when I saw it, it's about the game Fear and Loathing Hunger. I haven't played it cause I don't care about muh depressing indie game, but as I understand it the main character is supposed to be a boy who was raised to look like a girl by his mother because young boys are forced to join a cult or something. I don't see what the big deal is, but these people are so adamant that the fan community understand this has to be a trans woman. Like, is there anything not worth taking so personally? It's a fucking indie game.

Speaking from the experience of an extremely regretful childhood, getting those "enby" buttpats in the fanfiction.net comments pages was essentially the ultimate social status trophy. I don't have links, but there have been a few older (60s) FtMs posted in the SRS Disasters thread. Usually it's in a multipost, or them giving their surgery review/recovery tips in a Reddit screencap.

Women getting the trans bug at that age seem to be sturdy bulldykes who have been presenting in a masculine way for years. I'm not aware of anyone in her 60s who was in a heterosexual marriage with adult kids who then trooned out.
