[Abowaffen]

Count Dankula (real name Mark Meechan) is a Scottish lolbertarian comedian on youtube who talks about a variety of different topics, usually in a comedic and entertaining way.

In April of 2016 he uploaded a video titled "M8 Yer Dugs A Nazi" in which he teaches his girlfriend's dog to give a Nazi salute.

He went to jail for this because it was heckin' offensive. Yes really.

During the subsequent years-long legal battle, he carved out a little niche on youtube. These days he is best known for his "Mad Lads" series in which he talks about some interesting real life people, groups and events in history (including lolcows) that have done some crazy things. An example:

This is Suzanne Kelly, his ex-wife that he had two kids with named Sadie and Morag. She filed for divorce in June of 2024.

For some reason she announced the divorce on Xitter.

Mr. Dank confirmed the divorce on Xitter. RIP the marriage.


He also appears to be fascinated by trans-women. This may be worthy of further investigation.

I don't know - perhaps troons having the ability to take down Kiwi Farms, deny them security services, consistently DDoS the site and use a myriad of actual terrorist techniques to get something they don't like to cease to exist without a single reprimand from governments that should've taken it as a very serious crime is a good indication of how much power they hold nowadays.

it's been a weird ride and I don't agree with a decent amount of his politics but he's probably the only person who's given me some interest in actual cows beyond communities i'm familiar with
granted, saying that is sort of funny since I ignored Mad Lads for a full year and a half in favor of his old-ass commentary videos before giving it a chance, but regardless he's probably part of the reason I ever stuck around this site for more than a few days
I don't enjoy how his content has kind of stagnated- every Mad Lads has felt the same for a few years now (begin with childhood/birth, move on to first activity, slowly ramp up tension until the cow does what it's famous for/something absurd, rush through the rest of its life- I realize this is just a regular story structure, but the way Dank reads it off makes it feel like he's just going down a Wikipedia article and laughing sometimes. Not helped by how his editing almost entirely consists of his intro, outro, and a few images popping up in the right/left corner with some glitchy effects alongside the same singular music track and type of thumbnail in each video)- so I unsubbed a bit ago, but he's definitely not terrible to listen to in the background and I respect him for what he does.
Besides, he's raising a family now, it's fair enough to expect things to deteriorate on a schedule he can't devote nearly as much time to anymore.

But anyway, I enjoy his content, and I've been watching him for a very long time, back when he was still doing all those anti-SJW vids around 2016. It's funny how in retrospect the Nazi pug was actually the best thing that happened to him, because he got an amazing amount of support and he can now make a better living talking about things he personally enjoys than he would working as a bodyguard in Glasgow.

Also his trolls on Twitter were wonderful, such as LARPing as a SCOTUS justice or an Afghan Taliban during the Roe v Wade and Afghan dramas. The way he baited braindead normies was just beautiful. The man knows exactly how to use that shithole to it's full potential.
