I’ve been using Grindr for the last few years from time to time to meet people, and while I have just enough success meeting folks (including new trans friends) to stick around, I am finding the level of trans misogyny to increasingly be more than I can bear.
Among all the sites I’ve tried I’ve found Grindr to have less of the “too shy to even meet you” types but it’s overcorrected in to “service me, wench” territory 99% of the time. The entitlement some men have to just immediately talk to me like I’m a sex object can really irk me depending on what they say.
I’m posting here mainly seeking ideas on ways to date men as an mtf woman without feeling like I need to suffer the brunt of this treatment. Finding decent people on ocassion after filtering through 100s of messages from people who only see me as f**k meat is getting exhausting.
I don’t know if it’s my standards going up or anti-trans rhetoric in the media that also makes these spaces worse as people feel forced to hide their preferences. I’ve just wondered because I feel like over the last few years it’s gotten worse and fewer men are even trying to properly introduce themselves.
