Unlike Marie Lum's Pen Pals Forever, It seems Boxtown did get fully funded. But due to cost cutting measures, it will be fully 3D instead of 2D like what we were initially promised.

Ah Boxtown, a representation of everything I hate about the modern 'cartoon' industry. Charlie G has an opportunity to create an independent cartoon series outside of the studio system he so thoroughly despises, yet made the most corporate looking, cheap and safe, toon boom friendly, studio producer approved cartoon known to man! The original 2D designs were bad enough, but those 3D designs are even worse! Maybe you wouldn't need to cheap out on the animation if you didn't spend most of the money getting two 'big' name voice actors!

Not suprised Kiwi Farms used quotations when saying Tara is a big VA cause you've shat on her, insulted her, doxxed her, etc for years now

I don’t get why having big voice actors is a big deal, it isn’t like movies where the casting can sell the movie. Not to mention that voice talent doesn’t also have the complications of appearance and physical demeanor. It’s not like just anyone can be a good voice actor but between the ocean of options and the limited impact names have in the industry wouldn’t it make more sense to invest more in the main draw (animation) and just find VAs that suit your characters?
