Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Zoomers piss and shit xir pants in fear at vhs scanlines. That's basically what analog horror is now.
Add fan projects of Everywhere at the End of Time to this. There are now at least a dozen low-effort "X at the Y of Z" albums that just add reverb to old music. No, I am not going to spend 8 hours just for your rip-off of the Hell Sirens and terminal lucidity.

I'm glad people finally stopped making video essays about that. "The album that simulates dementia" "The darkest album ever" Shut the fuck up!

I still listen to EATEOT and the "With Voices" version that one person did periodically. But what can you say about it that hasn't already been said?
I member hearing some random mandela effect video go on autoplay and then being utterly dumbfounded when the retarded sounding narrator was describing mandela effects as a geniune link to an alternate universe instead of just our brain making shit up based on what we think we believe about shit
Speaking of Mandela, the Mandela Catalogue was an absolute garbage series. Warped faces and blasphemy do not horror make.

I wasn't surprised to learn that the creator is a zoomer who made all of it on his phone. I don't know why anyone thinks it's in the same league as Local 58 or Gemini.

And then there is Skinamarink, which is 90 minutes of kids playing with toys while the camera focuses on blank spots of the floor and wall. Call me a picky, entitled fan, but there's a difference between being avant-garde departures from the tropes and just making nonsense, slapping a few disjointed hints of lore together, and expecting the audience to be clairvoyant.

Analog horror was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle ideas that was ruined by its fans' low-effort imitations.

At least the video makes it clear the clip in question was never found, despite all the democratic efforts.
Still, they never say "it was probably a lie", rather going "this one of the biggest cases of Mandela effect!"

It's not that he didn't say Republicans are stupid; it's that he said it... in another universe!
Another good point I didn't even see Jorge mention.

The quote claims that he name drops republicans as being Fox News viewers... viewers of a channel that wouldn't even exist until nearly a decade later. This means it being an Oprah clip from that year would have to be false, and it would only line up with the People's Magazine claim, which has already been proven false. Either the whole claim is false or the quote is misremembered, either which could show it never happened at all. The resurfaced recording of the episode being covered over by fucking plane crash footage is just too convenient. Jorge is putting content out too fast now to have the same quality it used to, and he's slip sliding a bit too far into leftie autism.

"The album that simulates dementia"
I hate to sound like a pretentious asshole but with EATOT zoomers are too dumb to get art, its not ebin spooky dementia simulator it's an artistic depiction using music of what happens to the memory of someone with alzheimers. Joe Biden doesn't try to remember his favorite song and hear hell sirens instead, the album is trying to show how dementia takes familiar things and distorts them until they're scary and disorienting.

OneyPlays, which despite the name is a group, does BoneyPlays every October. Same as the shitstorm, horror-ish games throughout the month.
I completely blanked on Boney Plays, and I've been re-watching the YiiK LP!

If there's one thing I will say that I like about the zoomies and EATEOT, it's that I like Heartaches. It's a wonderful little parlor song, and unironically better than most radio garbage these days. Fucking I-ii-IV-V-I cadences.

I never would have learned it if it weren't for a zoomer student asking to learn it.

on the same hand, it's fucking hard to play because it's a parlor song from the 1930s!

But it's got some wonderful diminished and 7-9 chords. In the chorus, on the second, "Heartaches" it's A#°4/2, and oooh that's an spicy chord. It's so refreshing!

The songa Kirby sampled for it fuckin' slap. They remind me of Bioshock. I love it on its own, but resent how such a frightening and feels-inducing piece of art about dementia has been bastardized into just a musical creepypasta.

Exactly. They're taking it way too literally. Music is just how the warped memories are being illustrated. In reality, music is one of the last memories to go in dementia patients. Thoughts and memories, like the different music pieces, start interrupting each other before they can take form.

The Hell Sirens may also not just be symbolic of a war flashback. It could also symbolize a Sundowning episode, in which the patient gets frustrated at their inability to remember and lashes out.

I found myself immediately agreeing with you on reading, but then stopped to think and really wondered if anyone actually managed to trap that lightning in their proverbial bottle or if it just flashed overhead and was gone. Followed by fifteen thousand zoomers wobbling thunder sheets and flashing torches on & off claiming they've caught it.

His avatar does look like a tranny. Wouldn’t be shocked.
I remember watching a stream of his and he said the avatar didn't mean anything, he's not trans or gay or non-binary or anything, his drawing just has a little bow on his hair and that's all.

Not the most convincing thing I've ever heard, but hey. Unless he comes out or some hidden truth is revealed, I'm gonna take him at his word for now.

Or rather, that the appearance of the avatar (and merch) didn't mean anything regarding his sexuality.
Kek that sounds as suspicious as Mr enter saying he Asexual yet all his cartoons about young boys cross dressing and being bullied by athletic tomboyish girls.

He says that, but his girlfriend who is the one who drew his avatars goes by they/them. So he is by association most likely some kind of genderspecial.

I did a bit of looking up about this because I didn't know what the fuck a Skinamarink is supposed to be, and clips of the movie did have a pretty creepy vibe and atmosphere, then learend it has a 1 hour and 40 minute runtime. It would be scary if it was a ten minute short on Youtube, but I imagine it'd lose its novelty real fucking with at least hour of dead air and black screens, and there seems to be some consensus that it's not even trying to tell a real story and is more just "Hey, wouldn't this be fucked up?"

It screams "I have to fill the time to get monetization on YouTube" and then the creator was like "omg it can be a whole movie" when it didn't need to be.
