Official Kiwifarms Woman-Hate Thread - DO NOT post about OTHER USERS or OTHER THREADS from THIS WEBSITE.

why do we hate women but also the gay here who are u going to get love from
I don't know if you've noticed bro, but basically no one here really hates women. It's why the thread goes off on a tangent every 5 pages, and most of the "hate" amounts to minor gripes. The thread may as well be named the "Official Kiwifarms Woman-Exasperation Thread".

Friendly reminder that Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespear and Dante Allighieri are the only based writers.
Thomas Carlyle and Tom Wolfe are also based, although Sartor Resartus does not really qualify as a novel. I'd put Goethe in there too. Wife of Bath's Tale as well.
Anne Rice is one of the few authors who actually discourages fanfiction of her characters and i sort of respect that. imagine how assblasted some fans must be. she does the vampire genre the best
She does not only discourage it, she has pursued legal action to prevent it.
Anne Rice writes pure bean flickers. Just because gothic horror and vampires are almost universally terrible, does not make her stuff good because they are only bad.
I read the Vampire Chronicles and liked them, when I was in 9th grade. I still like them, but it was so long ago and my memory of them is made even less reliable because of how old I was. At the time, the idea of writing from the villain's perspective was totally new and innovative. You did not have disney fucking long dead intellectual properties like a necrophiliac.

Stefan Molyneux once did a "Truth about 50 shades of grey" and it was so hilarious while also revealing truths about female sexual attraction. I have looked for a torrent with the archive of his videos but so far nothing.

Couldn't trust it to stay alive without the fujos raiding and trying to rape us.
If you're unable to defend your bootyhole on the internet how can you call yourself based tho?

The real problem is it would devolve into idiots face-doxing themselves and tranny-defending foid jannies, like the current kiwi gay thread

There's a gay thread? I'm not surprised it would end up that way. The community is a cesspool. Which is a real shame because you get the right group of gays together, they're nothing like that. I mean they'll still flirt in DMs but they won't annoy the shit out everybody.

I only read these kind of books, does that count?

I think people should read both fiction and non-fiction and as widely as possible. I'm contemplating reading back through The Black Company books as I wait for the next Red Rising book, I'm currently reading a little book about breeding and philosophy and I forgot just how fucking dense academic writing, even when good, can be.

Sometimes you just need a break from real shit.
I hope Glen Cook isn't gona pull a GRRM with A Pitiless Rain.

What do you guys think about Cormac Mccarthey?

There is a gay thread but it's not worth looking at unless you want to know what bearycool looks like or hear about how heccin valid the transerinos are.

There's been at least one dick pick swapping PM chain tho.

The way the community acts, I can see why they're compared to women. The behavior with them is very similar to the pick me thread where you'll get ousted for wrong think, while they're getting trampled on by every other minority group to the point where they're taken the least seriously out of all of them. It's like they want a horse in the race, but they're too bimbofied to really think for themselves. And that's just scratching the surface.

It's funny too because they tend to be the face of every gay guy, but for the people that have met gays outside of the community who do their own thing, the feedback is generally pretty positive. Being "one of the good ones" just means having your own identity and not taking yourself so seriously.

Oh I thought since it was the early 1800s and there were plenty of people messing with dead people in front of an audience that Shelly would've seen it too.
Couldn’t say [and is there a reason you didn’t reply with a Reply?…I’m just speculating your response was to me; if not, disregard!].

Percy Bysshe Shelley was tutored by James Lind at Eton around 1809, when Percy would have been around 16. I can’t say whether or not Mary or Percy watched Lind perform any experiments before audiences/them in particular, but there’s no clear first-hand connection between what Lind was attempting and Frankenstein.

Mary Shelley’s (née Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin) mother was Mary Wollstonecraft, author of A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1792) (she died of childbirth complications not long after). Though not quite given the education her mother advocated for for women, Mary Godwin was given an above-average education. Mary and Percy began a relationship in 1814 (Percy had a relationship with père Godwin and had agreed to bail him out of debt, despite having some hurdles to accessing his own future inheritance. Percy and Mary’s father fell out, but Mary and Percy fell in love when Mary was 16, and Percy was 21; he was married and estranged from his wife). Drama and pennilessness ensued. (Percy likely also had an affair with Mary’s stepsister, Claire, with whom they traveled to the Continent.) Mary became pregnant by Percy, during which period Percy’s estranged wife also had a son by him. Mary & Percy’s child was born 2 months premature in 1815 and died. In January 1816 she gave birth to his child, a boy. In 1816 they summered with Lord Byron (who had impregnated Claire by this point) in /near Geneva.
Sitting around a log fire at Byron's villa, the company amused themselves with German ghost stories, which prompted Byron to propose that they "each write a ghost story".[60][61]
During one mid-June evening, the discussions turned to the nature of the principle of life. "Perhaps a corpse would be re-animated", Mary noted; "galvanism had given token of such things".[63] It was after midnight before they retired, and unable to sleep, she became possessed by her imagination as she beheld the grim terrors of her "waking dream", her ghost story:[64]

“I saw the pale student of unhallowed arts kneeling beside the thing he had put together. I saw the hideous phantasm of a man stretched out, and then, on the working of some powerful engine, show signs of life, and stir with an uneasy, half vital motion. Frightful must it be; for supremely frightful would be the effect of any human endeavour to mock the stupendous mechanism of the Creator of the world.[65][note 6]
She began writing what she assumed would be a short story. With Percy Shelley's encouragement, she expanded this tale into her first novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, published in 1818.[66] She later described that summer in Switzerland as the moment "when I first stepped out from childhood into life".[56]
(See below for reference.)

In December of 1818, Percy’s wife suicided, and Mary and Percy (she would’ve been 18ish, he 23ish) married about 3 weeks later, in large part to bolster his efforts for custody of his children with his now-dead wife (he was ultimately ruled morally unfit for custody). In September 1817, Mary had another child, a girl, by Percy. Also during 1817, Mary finished Frankenstein, which was published in early 1818.

They thereafter led a fairly itinerant life, and both children died young. Another child was begotten, more drama, Percy died sailing in 1822, and, along with two others, washed up on the shores near Viareggio, Italy.

More drama, and she ultimately died at the age of 53, suspected brain tumor.

Cormac McCarthy wrote some rough stuff. If you haven’t read Blood Meridian, I recommend (along with his others), though even for someone with a very sanguine and equanimous nature, particularly toward violence/brutality/cynicism, I found it to be a book I needed to put down now and then. Yet it’s the book of his I think of most often. I haven’t read No Country for Old Men, though I really liked the movie adaptation. The Road, Suttree, All the Pretty Horses, and The Crossing are all also considered good, but I’ve only read 2 or 3 of those 4, and none stuck like Blood Meridian. I’d like to read Child of God as well.

You fucking frauds, I thought I was amongst friends. I'll never trust again after a betrayal of this magnitude.

Double niggers, all of you!

I feel bad for you guys, you are so few and far between I'd bet the majority of people have never met a gay like you. I've only ever met one gay guy like you, and if it weren't for him I'd assume every gay was a hysterical lefty.

The one nice thing is that it's more of an epilogue, so if he does the series has something of a satisfactory ending. I just want to know if he'll answer some questions Port of Shadows raised and if my bed theory about the nature of Croaker is correct. The fanbases reaction to Port of Shadows is a bit sad though, the Senjak sisters lie about everything when it comes to protecting each other, why does anyone assume any of them are really dead, other than the one that's technically kinda dead but not. Maybe they're just all in Croaker.
