What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I get that being a YouTuber is cutthroat, and I encourage people to make as much money however way they can, but nickel and diming the viewer, beating them over the head to support you when you have three sources of profit is just distracting, and condescending.

These same YouTubers will omit anything they deem demonetizable, like anything related to nazis and mass murders, despite some of these channels focusing on history or media analysis. You as a viewer are constantly being distracted by meta bullshit while getting a sanitized sub-par product, even if you had pledged to support the channel financially.
In that case they can't be faulted. YouTube is known for cracking down on content even remotely right wing, as evidenced by channels like the Iconoclast getting nuked. Breadtube channels like Shaun and Philosophy Tube are protected because they make the algorithm look good. The best example is AltHype, who made videos on race and IQ, debunking people like Shaun and Vaush, and was later forced to private or delete his videos due to the 2018 YouTube crackdown on right wing content.

Even if you are a history YouTuber you will still get demonetized if you discuss rape, certain race related crimes or quote someone else talking bad about Jews.
never religiously watched this person but recently they came on my radar and I resolved to never watch them again. Lilith Walther, the person that made the ps1 demake of bloodborne, has started uploaded XD furry memes on their youtube, with themselves as an anime girl. They are trans, and I wouldn't care if they weren't also being a massive jackass about it.

I just can't watch it. I had respect for them when I thought they were a passionate autist, I didn't know they were this kind of autist.
Walther has been mentioned in the Tranny Sideshows thread. He's a Troon who dresses like a goth witch and looks like he doesn't bathe. He despises TERFs - par the course - and loves bragging about being fuckable and pissing in women's bathrooms.

Walther also made Bloodborne cart, which actually looks fun.

I stopped watching 'I Did A Thing' after he went to strap an AR to a robotic dog with Brandon Herrera and made them shoot it at cardboard cutouts of kids right after Uvalde, while framing the video as if Brandon had the idea to shoot at kids. Very slimy behaviour after Herrera was so pleasant and let them shoot his guns on his ranch for free, only to paint him in the worst light possible and omit the truth about the cutouts. I knew he was a leftist but I didn't care, that video just left a bad taste in my mouth. Never watched Brandon Herrera before but he conducted himself well in his version of events.

Just recently I went from watching someone's channel for the first time to blocking them from my recommendations in about 30 seconds.
--
Within the first ten seconds they're fucking seething over a joke about sandniggers
There is something about these people that just makes their brain incapable of not virtue signaling. The amount of times I have seen a video recommended and within the first 10-30 seconds they have already made several blatant common leftist virtue signals is actually astounding. Pretty much this exact situation you've mentioned (start video, already multiple cliches within 30 seconds, instantly click 'do not recommend') has happened to me no less than 10 times. It's somewhat convenient that they get it out of the way that they are incapable of producing interesting content because of current-year brain rot quickly but it's baffling how it can just keep happening.

In my experience there is like a 60% chance this is going to happen if you watch a video from an unknown YouTuber about One Piece.

It's gotten to the point where if it's a channel I don't recognize in my feed, I have to keep the old tab open, so I can go back to the old tab and hit don't recommend channel. I saw one video and within 10 seconds it said "As I covered in my previous Oscars So White" and I just hit Ctrl+W, triple dot on tab, don't recommend channel. . I think youtube knows about this so they prevent you from doing this if you don't have the old tab, and reset the feed when you hit back.

It's also good when channels play those annoying subscribe animations at the start, so I can immediately try to never see their channel again.

This morning I hit one that always makes my skin crawl when it comes to cooking youtubers and immediately makes me block their channel. If your pussy ass isn't willing to use the ingredients for a nations classic creations, don't fucking do their food. In this video a man was going to make a quick and easy demi glace from Anthony Bourdain's cook book from his time at Les Halles. This shit head refused to use veal bones because of the "ethics" of veal. Nigga, just don't make the video then. Veal broth is the back bone of proper French demi glace.

What bothers me most about complaints like this is the age of most of our meat we eat to begin with. The average life of a steer, the cow that is slaughtered for beef, is barely over a year old because tough meat isn't good meat and how do you prevent tough meat? You kill it young. God knows how old the average chicken is but I doubt they ever crack a year old unless you live on a farm and you're eating a hen or rooster that isn't producing anymore. And pigs? Pigs are market ready after 6 months. How about instead of whining about the age of veal, these people instead make an effort to show how to cook every piece of the animal, and use every bone for consumption so that not a piece of them go to waste.

I tried playing Family Guy Video Game for PSP (it's a shit game you're better off just watching the game online) and once I was done with it I wanted to see some actual reviews to see what other people thought about it. This video here came up with a million views so I thought "Okay, maybe this is worth watching."
Within the first ten seconds they're fucking seething over a joke about sandniggers ("wOw THaT iS jUsT cOMeDy") but I kept pushing forward, but within these next ten seconds they were seething over a fucking Stephen Hawking joke that I thought was kind of funny. At this point I've already wasted twenty+ seconds of my life and I should've clicked off a long time ago but for whatever reason I kept watching, only for them to start seething over a clip where Chris is in blackface. At this point I've fucking had enough and came to the conclusion that these soyboy tards have sticks up their asses and are unable to enjoy ANYTHING remotely edgy even if it's from a notorious shitlib like Seth MacFarlane. Fuck them.
Oh these guys, I used to watch them back when they first started. They were fine then, played mostly terrible PS2 movie/TV show tie-in games and actually had alright jokes and such. I unsubbed when they did a video on an older Harry Potter game, I think it was, and they got super defensive of trannies and hateful of JK Rowling. It was quite a sad thing too, seeing a channel go from 'haha funny bad games' to 'everything old is problematic and we must jump on the latest PC bandwagons'.

Okay so....Cynical Reviews.
I unsubscribed from this faggot a few months ago due to his gay tweets and how one of his videos was a fundraiser for trans kids.

What's sad is that I've been a long-time subscriber of his since like 2018 or so when he had <100k subs. His old content was actually somewhat based, as he did fandom menace type stuff by critiquing Hollywood and Disney. He was basically like a younger, edgier I Hate Everything -- or rather a more milquetoast Critical Drinker. He even specifically mentioned Mary Sues and bad female characters in some of his videos, too.

On Twitter as of Musk's takeover he's been increasingly more gay and woke, and after virtue signaling for trans kids several months back, I had enough and moved on.

Not a single video, but related to the thread. FailRace.

His videos were great night time viewing. He played Forza and other racing games with his community in themed races. This could be as broad as "RWD only" or as specific as "D class Japanese cars from the 1970s" (I don't know if that was an actual episode, but that's the kind of themes he'd do).

The problem was his community became more and more full of troons driving around in cars covered in pride flags while the host tries to respect the pronouns.

Oh cool an interesting clickbait video about that frame of a naked lady in "The Rescuers" movie
Oh it's a man in the thickest British accent imaginable shitting on some random Floridian governor. Just what I asked for.
I had to unsubscribe and dislike his videos after he made 2 different gringey pieces of shit last year:
  1. He made a video about Captain Planet, but halfway through started sperging about Orange Man...and then unironically simping for Greta Thunberg. This was is 2022 of all times, not fucking 2019 when both were relevant.
  2. In his video about Back to the Future he goes into a section about how time travel can affect freewill, but then he debates whether or not freewill is even a good thing because [in his own words] "freewill and libertarianism lead to toxic things like Covid mask protests". Yes, in 2022 he fucking said individual liberty is bad and used the anti-lockdown, anti-mask movement as examples. I couldn't ragequit fast enough.
Fuck Eddache.

EDIT: I want to this that I was another long-time subscriber to his content from before his channel got huge. I discovered his content in pre-2020 in one of his Simpsons videos which I found interesting, and he just seemed like Random Cartoon Reviewer #473829 ala MrEnter, LS Mark or Alpha Jay.

Honestly, I've been watching a lot of his vids recently, and I've never noticed this. Maybe this was something in the past, but recent multiplayer vids haven't had any of that shit. He may have gotten the fair few that started that shit to knock it the fuck off. Maybe his community is filled with troons, but a lot of his vids don't really lean into that shit.

Vaguely related:
anyone else get pissed off by how almost every single youtube comment is sucking the creator's ass?
I do get annoyed when they act like Youtube videos helped them through their dark times. If seeming almost all the comments is kissing the creator's ass, they might be deleting comments that are talking shit about them. This tweet from Linkara implies that he deletes comments with "I occassionally leave these up for a bit". Not that he is going to leave this negative comment up, no just "for a bit" meaning he is going to delete it eventually. He also did a Twitter thread on a negative Youtube comment which in the screenshot of the comment has the phrase "blocked words" above the comment meaning it got deleted by Linkara.

I might have to check back in with him then. Forza 4 DLC was big at the time, and he was looking forward to the release of Forza 5.

Ah. Yeah. Forza Horizon 4 attracted a LOT of troons. For some reason they stayed away from 5. At least from what I've seen. It's possible they either lost interest in the series, or he really did tell them to knock it the fuck off, 'cause this dude really seems chill and didn't want to appear like he was leaning heavily politically in one direction or another and just wanted to make goofy racing videos. His "Survive the Hunt" series regarding GTA V is highly amusing.

And double points if someone points out something they didn't like, then some sperg goes "DON'T LIKE, DON'T WATCH, UWU"

You stupid bitch, it's called feedback. Your favorite internet rando isn't gonna suck your clit just because you try to defend their honor.
I do get annoyed when they act like Youtube videos helped them through their dark times.
Goddamn, I hate that shit so much too. It's telltale signs of parasocial and unhealthy attachment.
You see it often when someone gets outed as a pedo or gets canceled for something else.

There's always some tard going "s/he helped me with my depression and made me feel good and loved and blah blah blah this community has been betrayed blah blah blah I'm sad now"

Just peak infantile behavior. No one stops to remember that some random person making videos on the internet is not their friend or someone to grow emotionally attached to.

I had been actively avoiding Whang ever since he donated to Keffals, but I'd been seeing his newest videos in my recommendeds for awhile so I figured "Eh, why not?" and clicked on his newest video 'cause it sounded funny and stupid. Tabbed out while he was doing his sponsor read-off and half way through I had to tab back in because this nigga is unironically being sponsored by and shilling modern day SomethingAwful. "Yeah guys, your favorite old content came from SomethingAwful! It's still just as good as it was fifteen years ago promise just pay ten dollars and get banned immediately for speaking out of terms then pay ten more dollars and try again it's epic!" Like seriously Whang, come on.

There should be a term for guys like Whang who've figured out how to ride the line between edgy and SJW-approved material, they're fucking all over Twitter. It bothers me more that he's gone full into "gross shit on the internet" and doesn't do interesting stuff like "the most mysterious song on reddit" anymore than kissing the ring on the girldick.
