Millennials (birth years are roughly 1981-1995) are all old enough to remember the September 11th attacks, they remember the world that existed. Agree and adding more context. Most yaoi, slash and other gay porn for women is made and consumed by teenage to early twenties females. I took my kids to half price books a few weeks ago and while they were looking at their books I wandered over to the dictionary section and opened the oldest one I could find (199. It defined Gender as being synonymous with sex but also had a disclaimer basically stating that some activists were defining it differently. Redefining language is an activist's favorite tool. It's how they control the narrative.

They also did the same with the definition of "fascism". Fascism used to be tied in to rule by direct military force, vaguely like martial law that doesn't go away when the emergency ends, "nation is held above the individual", irrespective of right/left leanings. If you look at most dictionaries within the past 15ish years, they updated fascism to specify "right wing" in the definition. I am unsure what's so free-market about a collectivized state where the "nation" runs everything and makes every decision, but go off queen, I guess.
