OK time for a slightly less bad gripe: Troons are ruining futchy women and tomboys.
We all have our tastes, and there's certainly no accounting for it, especially my own, but I ended up in and around both sorts of women more often than more 'conventional' ones, and the fact that they don't exist under 35 anymore is a bit worrisome.

I am for the first time ever in a union. I graduated during the recession when NO ONE was hiring. I have never had a job with benefits before and it has changed my life. I hope this isn't considered political sperging.
Anyway, our conditions contract hasn't been updated in decades. I was crestfallen to find that discussions of what our priorities should be were totally derailed because it doesn't use gender neutral language or include gender nonconforming people. On what planet is this a priority? It shouldn't even be up for discussion, let alone agonized over.
The people who are the loudest about this gender special shit are younger than me and (I assume) hired straight out of school. They don't know what it feels like to be spoken down to and kept at just below 40 hours so you didn't qualify for benefits.
I want all Americans who work fulltime to have the same sort benefits I do. I'm not bitter, I don't want anyone to suffer simply because I did. If they truly gave a shit about improving peoples lives, they would talk about the boring financial stuff. I am so sick of navel gazing about GeNdEr anyway. Enough.

Probably the thing that made me hit peak trans was from working in education, primarily supporting disabled students.
In recent years, trans/LGBT students have fallen under the umbrella of diverse students (Special needs). As funny as that is, it causes issues for the students that actually require help. Other staff will trip over themselves to support the alphabet student, while the ones that really require help are left behind because there's no glory in helping lil Timmy in grade 9 understand third grade math when Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way is being genderspecial.

The support for students with disabilities is already severely strained and many schools treat it as a second thought. My school for instance doesn't even have a dedicated room for these students, instead we split our staffroom in half so they would have a little space to work. Now these little faggots are taking resources from people that need it because they want attention, and because its the cause du jour, they're getting it. I could be in a class helping a student that is eager to learn, yet needs the extra guidance. Instead I'm babysitting someone that doesn't need the help, they just want someone to be there with them, and I can't do a damn thing because its how the funding was assigned.
I was under the umbrella of special needs in school, but was never put in those classes. I basically had faint contact with the teachers to check how I was doing. That was around 2016, and even then I could see the early stages of this happening. Teachers that would treat the special needs kids awfully, but would jump at the chance to show how diverse they are by making a Safe Space or other stupid things like that. This was actually achieved at one point, by taking a room that some of the special needs kids would use to chill out between lessons, kicking them out, and filling it with anyone that said they might be questioning their gender (That's basically most teens at some point).
It is, literally, Trans people taking the few scraps thrown to some of the most disadvantaged people in the system, and it pisses me off to no end.

That’s happening to me but I’m a grown man who doesn’t come to work to make friends so I’m finding it all hilarious. They’ve pretty much fast tracked my promotions since I’ve been working there as I’m only person the higher ups can rely on to do things. Plus with the others not talking to me I get told all the gossip from the very senior staff as they know there’s no one to tell it too.
The initial attempt to recruit to the union was from someone with they/them in their signature.
Your job not paying you enough? Use the experience to get one that does. Don’t buy into stupid lefty mafias as they’ll turn on you and get you sacked the second they see you rolling your eyes at gender special bullshit.
Honest advice, look after yourself. Those are not your friends in work, they are your competitors. Each one will happily knife you in the back whilst their other fist is in the air.

The Union for my work renegotiated the pay-structure in such a way that anyone on contract instead of permanent (and you can only move to perm after working for X years on contract) is let go, and there is unlikely to be any work at any school in the state for about 9months because they messed up the funding.
I'm glad I never paid my union dues, fags wanted about a tenth of my paycheck to put me out of work.
Co-workers response to contract workers losing jobs is basically "Yeah but we're alright so its ok." I take great solace in the fact that these people are probably going to work in that job for awful pay for the rest of their careers. Union rep was one of these people, and would basically dickride the management any chance they got.
I'm sure there are good unions out there, but many are willing to throw fresh meat into the grinder to appease the people that insist on working a deadend job forever.

Just remember, in a few years whilst your former colleagues are still trying to establish everyone’s pronouns you will be in a far better and higher paying job because you’re actually prepared to work.
