Boogie has claimed that his mother smashed through his bedroom door using a hammer and likened it to a scene from The Shining. He says that he likes reading Stephen King books. I remember he read the first chapter from the book he was writing and a lot of people likened it to Stephen King's writing. A friend of mine claims that one of Stephen King's writing techniques / tropes to make the audience hate a bad guy is to have the bad guy be cruel to dogs. Boogie frequently uses Sammy for sympathy and told Frank Hassle repeatedly and randomly to not hurt Sammy when he said he'd visit Boogie. Food for thought. Boogie also stole Adam the Woo's girl scout cookie story and was caught red handed by Adam.@boner_alert "Also Boogie's claimed that his mom threw a knife at him? That's interesting because the paramount abuse claim from "A Child Called It" is that the author's mother threw a knife at him. I wouldn't be surprised if he's read that book and has been tempted to lift parts of it for himself. The book's title comes from the author's abusive mother calling him an "it" instead of "him" or "boy." Exact kind of corny melodrama that's totally on brand for Boogie. I can literally hear Boogie's dramatic fake woe-is-me voice peddling this to a captivated Ethan and Hila on an H3H3 episode"
(Knife story told from his brother's perspective)
The show's integrity is dubious at best. I listened to the podcast and Turkey Tom admits that he went to Boogie's house at some point to help him get his career back on track. Tom and Nick both admitted to making videos to help Boogie's career but stopped when Boogie did something extremely retarded (I forget what exactly). Mutahar had no idea about the swatting saga. Tom and Boogie frequently DM each other apparently. However, I do want to say that Nick and Muta both warned Tom that he was being manipulated by Boogie with the DMs and house visit. Tom was trying to rationalize that Boogie was trying to be a better person, but then they both said that this is exactly what Boogie wants. Tom then agreed that it was manipulative. The whole "farmers trying to be life coaches for the cows" angle that Mutahar mentioned is kind of cringe. We've seen Boogie do this song and dance before with his weight loss and then his personality issues. He is constantly claiming that he's fixed things when nothing gets fixed. If the farmers really want to provide some entertainment then they'll go after Boogie on one of the issues that he is unwilling to rescind any comments on. If they really want to make Boogie squirm, have a lexicon of Boogie's real lies around one of his big lies, like the rape claims. Take YaBoi's megapost on the rape allegations and start calling him out on inconsistencies.
I doubt any of the farmers will go there though. The whole podcast series is very performative as I see it so far, everyone wants to make fun of Boogie but they also want to keep him in tow and it's very obvious still that behind the scenes Boogie has a lot of control over the content. I guess I'll see where things go with episode 3 but so far it's missing that real edge you see when Boogie actually gets called out and angry on his lies.
Boogie is such a fucking predator. It's like watching one of those nature documentaries where a large creature is just standing there and a python slowly but surely wraps itself around the creature,, immobilizing it before crushing it to death. It's incredible that someone like Tom who covers lolcows allows this to happen to himself.
