If you think some zoomers drawing biblically accurate Jesus fanart is worse than Jill Rodrigues or JimBoob Duggar, you need to seriously reexamine your priorities.
Art has been made from Bible stories since the beginning.
Can't wait until tumblr jumps on this bandwagon. The potential for hilarity is certainly there.
I was going to post this because saying middle eastern as if it's one monolithic racial entity especially during biblical times or even now is incredibly stupid.

There are plenty of pics even of Afghans with blue eyes and light hair. Sure they still have their tribal facial characteristics, but yeah. Genetics.
Syria which I had the pleasure to visit is also super diverse and you can find a lot of weird "European" looking people together with Arab and Turkic phenotypes.
And then there are the famous speculations about pharaohs, which yet again don't seem to fit at all in the "African" identity.
However, Raptor is a progressive, so it's of paramount importance for her to make sure Christian right wingers understand they are worshipping a brown Jew, so they feel humiliated and impotent.
You can be middle-eastern and also quite light-skinned, especially in the Mediterranean parts like Palestine. A lot of these "accurate" depictions of Jesus make him look Pakistani or Bangladeshi.
They always obsess over Jesus and the New Testament.
I guess David killing a man above his weight category, sending a man to the front lines hoping he'd die so he could bang his wife or harvesting the foreskins of his enemies wasn't exciting enough to illustrate.
I think all and all, this kind of strikes me as being like that Patty/Peter Locke character:
Most of them seem to be autists who genuinely want to do good, who are genuinely wholesome people. Certainly lolcow traits mixed in, but very little, if any, of the degeneracy, histrionics, or outright malice that accompany most other cows.
As can be attested by the Bible Fandom's very own My Immortal, The Divine Comedy, and the Fandom's very own Chris-Chan, Joseph Smith (dum-dum-dum-dum-dum).
Raptor really hates Christianity.
Understandable, pretty boring religion.
You guys think she'll do fine as a 4th wife to some Muslim fundie?
Or as a sati sacrifice in India.
I think she'd enjoy a lot of this multiculturalism stuff.
Honestly I think fedora tippers would find it hilarious and further proof of the absurdity of religion. Unless they're the super retarded "fuck you dad" variety and any reference to Christianity causes them to have an athsma attack.

It's definitely interesting, but I'd posit that what Gen x'ers and Millinials (my generation) have done is more dangerous to the faith than what the zoomers do
. The Pope (he's old but I think young progressives are influencing him) now say priests can bless gay marriages, some Lutheran tranny pastor claimed "Jesus was trans", along with progressive ideology infiltrating theology. I never thought I'd hear from some "Christians" that you don't even need Jesus to be saved. And few Christians call them out. American Christianity is too comfortable and complacent, in other parts of the world where Christians are persecuted, they will stand up for their beliefs.[/ISPOILER] With the long rant aside. As for the thread I think the OP did a good job piqueing my interest and I want to see where this leads.

Pretty sure the fundies engaging in child marriage and protecting pedo priests and other actually horrific shit is way more dangerous to the faith than the Pope blessing gay people.
