Yeah. He'd make bullshit videos like "How to turn any disposable lighter into a flamethrower!" or "Cool items hidden in your old VCR!" that were "technically" joke special effect vids but were more focused on luring in kids used to channels like householdhacker and kipkay.

Then he posted the first Annoying Orange and it absolutely fucking exploded and got it's own channel.

It was barely even a thing 10 years ago. It only existed as a weird freakish offshoot of the gay subculture. There is something so disturbing about just how fast all this trans shit has happened. I was in high school in the 2010s in a major west coast city that now has MANY trans people and don't remember a single openly trans person in a school of 2000+. It just wasn't a thing. We had gay kids and some androgynous kids but no trans. It's so inorganic how quickly gender shit grew in the past 8ish years.

Yeah. I went to a STEM focused school so you'd think it would be a breeding ground for troons but there were none at all. And it wasn't like 2010s was some dark times when they would have had to choose between staying in closet or being murdered or something.

I was aware of that stuff but i was already so used to crazy people on the internet that felt no reason to think it would trascend. To me it wasn't any different than losers who think they are vampires or want to marry Sonic.

I finished school in 2013 and there was one trans person out of the entire school of hundreds of people. Not that I cared because I was never their friend, but I thought it was weird as fuck.

I remember every one of my friends and myself knew of trans people as those few weirdos in porn from Asia who have the body of a woman and a giant cock.
