Whenever the topic of Vito comes up, they've always been quick to respond that Vito was only "joking" about being a pedo. It's a bullshit deflection, but it gives them an air of plausible deniability to those who aren't terribly familiar with the Vito issue. If Vito were put through a legal wringer tomorrow, they could claim they thought he was joking. Just like Amos Yee apparently fooled a lot of people.

Meanwhile, pie man is over there literally saying "if he's a pedophile, it's none of our business." As if he knows Vito is one, but just doesn't give a shit as long as he's on the side of CG (which, of course, is just Ethan's side).



I'm sorry to keep harping on that, but my brain crashed when he went with that justification for having Vito around.
