Got Jak 1 and 2 out now, the team that did it are now working on Jak 3 as well.
I just tried that out and it actually runs bizarrely badly in spots. There was a bit in the intro where the framerate fell to single digits.
ughIf you do buy a PlayStation 5, you'll be getting access to a wide array of well-regarded titles, including exclusives like the Spider-Man games, The Last of Us, Uncharted, God of War and Horizon, to name a few.
Bruh the FFVII Remake hasn't even sold 10 million copies and it came out across two console generations and PC. Hell it didn't even sell 7 million units until three years after it's release. Rebirth is probably going to sell even worse. With some more PS5s out there now and the brand power of FF7, I assume it should do a bit better. I hope I'm wrong and it completely flops.
Is that even a real gun?You know I'm glad they stopped these. I mean look at this. Violating the rules of gun safety so brazenly. Shamefur dispray.

Browning Buck Mark.Is that even a real gun?
That does sound pretty bad considering how available it was... FF16 has the defense of being trapped on PS5 I guess, but I don't know how much better it would sell now elsewhere with its mixed reception. I guess I overestimated FF7's selling power.Bruh the FFVII Remake hasn't even sold 10 million copies and it came out across two console generations and PC. FF7's a big-ass name but I mean, the game came out in fuckin 1997 and they dragged their feet on a remake for such a long time, only to give us a game literally named "Final Fantasy VII Remake" that isn't a remake at all. Do you remember how there was some... FF7-related thing when the PS3 was new? I can't remember anything about it, but I remember a buncha rumors about a proper FF7 remake hitting PS3 someday. And like, S-E saying something like "We won't remake FF7 until something surpasses it". I can't remember all the times Square-Enix was wishy-washy about it.That does sound pretty bad considering how available it was... Because FF8 was only relevant in 1999. FF7 is the sole entry in the series that's really had noteworthy staying power after it had stopped being the new shiny.I like how everyone just forgot the 1999 Final Fantasy 8 tech demo for PS2.
The only Final Fantasy characters I'd want to see in Smash Bros. are weirdos like Quina. The last thing that game needs is more anime swordsmen. Terra would be one of the better ones due to her being a magician who can transform into an esper, but even she'd probably just turn out like an echo of Zelda.Because FF8 was only relevant in 1999. Diehards all claim to have their pet favorite, but ain't nobody demanding Terra or Squall in Smash Bros.
I don't even think I've ever heard of that. Though I do remember that FF6 demo for N64.I like how everyone just forgot the 1999 Final Fantasy 8 tech demo for PS2.
I blame this retarded exclusivity bullshit for a lot of it. First it's PS-exclusive, then Epic exclusive, and then like 2 years after it originally releases, it's a $70 game on Steam. Of course the sales are going to be shit, most people aren't even able to play it until 2 years after the hype originally died down, and then it's still $70.Except now it's a timed exclusive to a console that's not selling well, at a point in time when the whole world's economy is going to hell, and the inevitable PC release is most likely gonna be an Epic Games exclusive for a while, which means PC chads can fuck off for even longer, unless it gets cracked before it lands on Steam (like FF7R did).
What's the point of even releasing a "remake" to a nearly 30 year old game past when most people don't even care about it? Any remake of FF7 should have come out during the PS3 era at the latest (with a bit of wiggle room during the early PS4 era). I don't even get why Squeenix bothered with the FF13 games. No one really liked them and other than the black dude with a chocobo in his hair, all the characters are annoying in their own ways (but that might be just FF characters in general).*snip*
Let's be real, the best Final Fantasy character in Smash Bros would be the venerable chocobo. On the bright side, at least it doesn't tarnish the original like bad remakes do. I remember being pissed it wasn't turn-based (which I'm coming to accept is essentially dead), as a true remake I think that can't be compromised. In a sense it may be good they took this route though, despite a part of me still wanting to see a full remake in any form, just out of curiosity.FF7's a big-ass name but I mean, the game came out in fuckin 1997 and they dragged their feet on a remake for such a long time, only to give us a game literally named "Final Fantasy VII Remake" that isn't a remake at all.
That sounds like a series of short-sighted business decisions typical of modern S-E. At least in my case I'm probably not gonna even play these for a while regardless.Except now it's a timed exclusive to a console that's not selling well, at a point in time when the whole world's economy is going to hell, and the inevitable PC release is most likely gonna be an Epic Games exclusive for a while, which means PC chads can fuck off for even longer, unless it gets cracked before it lands on Steam (like FF7R did)
Neither are the developers, who were older than we are now even when they made these games so long ago. I know I shouldn't want a Chrono Trigger 2 from nigger faggot S-E, but key members could just drop dead if they don't do it now.You know, it's one thing to ask for a remake, or a sequel to something you enjoyed long ago, but there gets to be a threshold where it takes so fucking long that you just gotta point out that, like, none of us are getting any younger.
Only a week?! I still cringe thinking back at myself lol.The only time in my life where I'd be compelled by whatever new story Nomura has for us would have been when I was a teenager, and that would be mainly so I'd have something to awkwardly talk about with the chick at Hot Topic who proudly explains how Sephiroth is her "bishii" and then I could try to warp it into an awkward joke where I'd say I wish someone would bi-shineru and then have to explain that "shineru" means death and then we'd have a silent moment for a second and then I would have to abruptly leave and beat myself up for the rest of the week for being such an awkward fucking idiot retard faggot loser.
FFX is right behind it in popularity. People still want X-3/X-0.FF7 is the sole entry in the series that's really had noteworthy staying power after it had stopped being the new shiny.
Me neither, oddly. I also remember the FF6 demo, that looks amazing to me even today.I don't even think I've ever heard of that. Though I do remember that FF6 demo for N64.
Auron would be awesome, but more realistically Tidus or Yuna. Yuna being a summoner could be really interesting, they could go about it in a few different ways.Let's be real, the best Final Fantasy character in Smash Bros would be the venerable chocobo. They're the unsung heroes behind the protagonists of the game.
Hell, you could say that about a lot of Square Enix games from the HD era. A remake of FF7 would have done crazy gangbusters back on the PS3, but what did we get? Weird shit like Infinite Undiscovery that nobody wanted. That game came out 16 years ago now, which is equidistant to FF7 back in 2013, and not a single soul is clamoring for a remake of that game. What's the point of even releasing a "remake" to a nearly 30 year old game past when most people even care about it? I have given up all hope on anything good ever coming from a Square franchise ever again. They still have my eye for Dragon Quest, but that's it. And I maintain high hopes for DQ12 because of that series more or less being a Japanese institution as much as it is a game.Neither are the developers, who were older than we are now even when they made these games so long ago. Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X had about the same amount of time between their releases as Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. They also managed to create, complete, and release FF8, FF9, and a bunch of other games in between.FFX is right behind it in popularity. People still want X-3/X-0.
I wouldn't really have any hope of it being good either, but I have to admit they didn't fuck up Mario RPG, though that's probably because of Nintendo honestly...I have given up all hope on anything good ever coming from a Square franchise ever again. It's crazy to think how on top of things they used to be. Now they even manage to fuck up remasters sometimes, like Chrono Cross. Unbelievable.Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X had about the same amount of time between their releases as Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
