I'm sure you know, but for the benefit of anyone else trying to make sense of it: Warski and PPP are mixing up Slick Jimmy and Vic King who are two different people, those are their aliases in Comicsgate, their dox and crimes are posted on the thread. Slick jimmy was the one in the google hangouts, he was arrested for CP a few years ago. The other Vic is a sex offender convicted kiddie rapist that they were initially talking about then showed his art at the end. Slick Jimmy's book was always sus and people should have seen red flags, but I don't think his dox was out before the arrest. Vic King only was revealed last week, he was known as being very impoverished and pathetic and not a great artist, kind of a creep to women but mostly pathetic. His cover art rate was probably $20.

My opinion of his art was that it was always "fan" pin-up art stuff. He was the type of guy who could do a nice simple poster-type images, but lacked the skills to actually do comics. He had a sort of basic knowledge of drawing, but no more than that.

He had terrible problems with composition, proportions, human poses, perspective and a whole lot of basic stuff. He seemed better at inking than drawing. Ask him to draw a single guy with a sword in a simple stock pose and he could get the job done. Anything with more than one character or with a background and it was going to be not great.

He never got any better because he supported himself by drawing lots and lots of "fan" single-character pin-up pictures. He is far from the worst artist in comicsgate. But at the same time there was nothing special about his art.

I only ask because Masterson implied people should have known from looking at the artwork.

Now I am trying to find something sus so I don't know if it was ever there as a warning. I only knew he hit on haggard old women and asked them to marry him.
Slick Jimmy's art he commissioned (he was a writer) was very sus pdf.
The sad fact that I have found out since following Comicsgate stuff and looking into comics in general as an adult is that a disproportionate amount of comics people are weirdos and perverts of varying degree ranging from icky to prosecutable. Plus even more of them are just annoying whack jobs.

Dax is talking out his ass. He's just saying that because Vic is an easy target right now with undeniable legal evidence, so he can't actually defend him without looking really bad. If he actually believed that, he'd have no problem with people shitting on Vito for the stuff he posts.

There's nothing in it for me. I don't like Vito, and neither does anyone else in my chat. He'd have a hard time selling on my program, and I know it wouldn't be reciprocated for my next project on his show anyhow.

I'll be promoting TUG's 3rd Umbrella book, RIPPAVERSE and Yellow Flash's comic, because they're all easy sellers, and they've all agreed to promote me to their larger audiences in return.

I don't remember ever seeing anything in Vic King's art or his behavior that would suggest he was into pedo stuff. Nothing short of doxing him and doing a criminal background check on him was going to show up bad things associated with him IMO.

If there were suspicions about him before the disclosure, I've never seen anyone say what they were.

The only entity I can personally fault in this is IGG. IGG has a problem if people on the sex offender registry like Vic King can set up IGG campaigns. IGG is big enough that they should be doing background checks on people.

Should anyone hiring an artist do a full criminal background check on the artist. I'm not sure. There is a downside for artists in doing that in that you are giving up alot of personal information to someone that the artist can equally have less than full information about.

And unfortunately people are going to use Vic King to draw the wrong conclusion. The wrong conclusion being that the standard for shunning people should only be a criminal conviction. That artists who specialize in pedo art or who are pedo friendly are good people. The implication being Slick Jimmy and his work were fine in CG right to the point where he got arrested. The implication being that guys like Vito should be welcome around CG.

Maybe it's printing issues. But this one is particularly dumb since the book has been ready to print for months. But he won't print it because it's too expensive to print. Since you can't buy it anymore, I would think that means he finally hit some threshold for cheaper printing.

As a joke, I think it'd be funny if people did a GoFundMe to help @FROG on his printing costs to get the book out. No idea if that would be embarrassing enough for him to finally get off his ass. Sadly, it'd also just benefit him by giving him money to do something he should have had enough money to do already. But maybe if it finally did come out, good reviews would perk Martin up enough to stop wishing he never became an artist.



But he's also working on two other books. Why anyone would want to buy them before getting the first one is beyond me. But I guess CG followers find it fun to throw money at the comics equivalent of vaporware. Whereas, I would think lighting up $20's in the shower would be more fulfilling.

No way to know for sure on spending the money, but here is the post where he talks about prices. He says $15 book. There is a $15 reprint if I recall correctly. But pretty sure he's talking about the $25 one.

Yeah. Big mistake in going against Dick and Vito on his part. Even if they shit all over comicsgate and even if their whole "anti-anti-SJW" thing is completely against what comicsgate stands for, the minions are just supposed to follow Ethan's lead and pretend that it didn't happen. He has 750 backers! I mean with each of those EVS videos on Eric July getting 23k views, that is backing rate of THREE PERCENT of the audience. You can bet Malin is thanking the boss every day for all this.

Yeah. Regardless of what the issue is or his reasoning for holding off printing. The fact the book is done and he hasn't really tried to get it in people's hands at this point. It's basically theft in my opinion. But 'quality' or some other buzz word. The truth is, if printing costs really are the issue. Whether he was not making as much as he wanted on it, breaking even, or flat-out losing money. He needs to just take the hit. Luckily, he is probably one of the few that can afford to. Assuming he hasn't blown all the money of course. But who knows, maybe the money went to the toy lines. Hopefully the artist got paid.
