Turns out Lucas's new venture Scared Awake isn't dead, he just put out a new episode.
If you can believe it, the production value has gone way down. It's literally just him reading a creepypasta story ("the Russian Sleep Experiment") for 20 minutes.

He's doing creepypastas now, because, of course he is, so of course he chooses THE creepypasta, the Russian Sleep Experiment.
Little review, little fuckin' review. Err, it's just him talking over the same loop of the underground basement, and ultimately just reads out the full story. Honestly, the audio is much, much better, he speaks evenly and uses effects appropriately. He even does some voice acting. It's ASMR fair, but it works, and again the visuals have a nice consistency to them. It's a very, very lazy video, but this is easily something I would have probably enjoyed 5-6 years ago if I was new to YouTube and horror in general. Congrats Keffals, you made something not horrific. 7/10

Nexpo ovah heer (I just finished Sopranos, indulge me).
I guess my main question is "Why?". Why would you release videos about an entirely different topic, going out of what your viewers see as your common place? Why risk to attract new viewers that don't know who you are, only to drive them away after they run a quick search about you or watch your other videos? Is transition without cause or effect such a cornerstone of the troon persona that they have to do it professionally too? Sounds desperate, and the attempt itself is, as already stated, lazy.
Russian Sleep Experiment is such a basic bitch creepypasta, by the way. It shows Keffals did little to no reading further than the "most read" on the Creepypasta Forum, and has next to no idea of the true dimensions of the genre. I have years of /x/ threads saved on my HDD, and I'm sure I could pick one at random and it would be as engaging as his choice for the video. Less known, too, which would have been a bonus.
