It's sad that this is the last place on the Internet where you can be yourself, because when you meet like-minded people here you know they'll only ever be Internet buddies at best. Or if you're dumb you dox yourself in hopes of meeting them IRL. Or they do.

Damn this whole thread reminds me of an experience I had you can tmi me whatever enjoy the story:
My gay friend in college was a catholic whose family disowned him. He said that it's really hard for gay men to find each other. Normal people can find someone they fancy in a pretty consistent basis just by going on a walk but for gay men it's a desert unless you're looking for them. He also told me that gay men are insanely sex-driven, my catholic friend wanted an emotionally stable relationship (so no sex in the beginning) but most gay men are literally too coom brained to handle that and only want sex. I asked him if he remembers when he was gay and he knew he liked men since he was little kid, and I think that's kind of a rarity. Most gay men I know admit that they've been groomed at some point in their life, which makes sense since if you're a lonely fuck it's an incentive to grow your dating pool beyond the measly few who are "naturally" gay like my catholic friend
Another story: I've experienced some weird shit during the covid era. I was playing among us because I was bored retarded and some guy thought I was cool and added me on discord. We talked and he was this European in college and he was depressed. We talked about our futures and stuff and he thought I was cool. He asked if he could send me photos of him in a maid costume and I told him that he shouldn't do that sort of thing online and that you shouldn't send your info to strangers on the internet. I stopped talking to him afterwards. I dunno why but I think grooming is kind of a culture in itself, you've got isolated young kids wanting to be validated by others but are basically taken advantage of
