Well, Steve now feels vindicated on his Super Bowl prediction and talks the 2024 election.
Most of it really isn't all that interesting in terms of uniqueness. 2020 presidential election rigging is a pretty common topic among the older folks, though it is a bit odd that Steve fell on the political right side of it considering he has been a Democrat most of his life. The most interesting part of it by far is him asserting that Joe Biden rigged the Super Bowl to improve his chances at winning the 2024 election. Well, that and the fact that he believes Obama and Joe Biden tried to kill him in 2010 and 2014 via car crashes. In reality, it was most likely Steve's own poor driving skills that nearly killed him. I'll try to find writings from those years to see how he came to those conclusions. I'm guessing it's because he believes everything bad that happens to him is the fault of the federal government, so him getting into serious accidents during Obama's and Biden's tenure in the White House means they must've tried to kill him.
He also comments on the whole Biden not being charged for mishandling classified documents due to his inability to remember things.
None of it is really all that interesting either. It's everything you've heard before with maybe the exception that America's last hero thinks that Joe Biden is faking his forgetfulness and using his son's death for sympathy to get off the hook. It runs against the usual assumption of Biden just being a dementia riddled puppet. The reasoning for why he believes that is probably due to the fact that he still believes Joe Biden is after him personally, and that couldn't be the case if he was a mentally disabled old man. He ends it by saying an insurrection will happen if Joe wins and he worries the deep state will assassinate RFK Jr. to do so.
This update wasn't that interesting. It was typical boomer talk and most importantly none of it had to do with Stephen King killing John Lennon. It's probably just him throwing a fit due to his modern idol, Taylor Swift, dating Travis Kelce who just won the Super Bowl. I feel like it would've been much more entertaining if Kansas had lost, with Steve gloating about his divine luck forced the Chiefs (and by extension Joe Biden) to lose.
So, I found out Steve will post updates in different sections of his updates and footnotes tab. For context, there are a bunch of links at the bottom of the page that link to a lot of different articles/sections.
These are somewhat separated out by years, with some going back to the 90s (though a lot of the older ones are completely blank now for some reason). Currently, "ME OR WWIII? - BUT CHOOSE QUICKLY" is the default page for the section. However, his articles/section/whatever titled "
Me on golf technique - part 2" contains much more personal updates on our hero. Most of the article is dominated by his writings on golfing technique, which reads like what would happen if Musashi was a schizophrenic golfer instead of a wandering duelist hobo. It's pretty interesting how much he's into it, but it's quite a lot and I won't post it here for sanity's sake. The middle section is a court case about noise complaints for his van's stereo.
However, at the bottom we get personal life updates that aren't so much as his takes on current event as much as they are more intimate writings. All of them are directed towards an unidentified woman. It's not Taylor Swift, but it is somebody on local television. Probably a newscaster he just randomly fell in love with.
It's kinda sad (but mostly creepy). It's clear he spends a lot of time thinking about her and stalking her.
Anyways, some excerpts of his day to day life.
These are neat because they confirm that Lightfoot is living the homeless life. He's renting driveways to park his van/home in and he's using the public library to update his site daily. The guy is even detoxing from pot and caffeine and has been since the start of this year.
Well, to end off this lengthy post, I'll leave you all with a Valentine's Day writing to the woman he admires. It's completely normal and not weird at all. Due to the nature of how often he updates, I'm going to be much more selective about what I choose to put in an update post going forward. It's too much schizophrenia to post in any singular update post, but I once again encourage people to read the site if they want the full picture instead of just snippets. Updates will continue to be posted when the main page of his Footnotes and Updates tab gets updated, but now with the more interesting personal life clippings added to the end of the updates post. No, I won't update daily because I'm too lazy for that and I think I'd get burnt out fast.
