So,
@doodoocaca a few people have mentioned how having some specific actions that people can support could help people get involved in working to fight this industry.
I think one of the parallels that could help is the anti-mlm movement. It's a massive industry with laws that should theoretically deal with the legal problems, but for various reasons, they can't/don't. So, a starting point was the usual things like clear awareness raising - here is a brief, digestible explanation of why this industry is bad. It's coupled with telling people what businesses/brands are part of the industry - don't buy their products, don't get lured into their "business". There are also people doing legal work, and raising awareness of that legal work - this organization is trying to prosecute so-and-so, write to show your support. This group is trying to get together a class action lawsuit - get in touch with them here. This politician is trying to get a bill to do such and such - let people in this area know, write to support, etc.
It sounds basic, and not enough, but it's also building a foundation and giving people some things they can do. So, for the child torture industry- are their any groups doing work on this? Lawyers doing class-action work? Bills anywhere removing government funding from these organizations, or preventing insurance from covering it as "treatment"? What active groups do you know of - is there an accessible list? Are there any resources people should know about that already exist and are trying to work on this issue?
1: Though it's not the first paragraph of the OP, I said "In a word, this industry is a cross between a cult and MLM, with each facility pretending to simultaneously be a normal boarding school, reform school, and residential therapy. They are not schools, they do not provide therapy, they do not help or fix any child there. They exist to make money by manipulating parents and states, and controlling children so they can't tell the world what is really going on". Should this be in quote tags at the start? Is that too wordy? It's hard to boil this down.
2: ANY sort of weird school that speaks of reform, tough love, emotional growth, residential therapy, and the like, that in any way at all ever limits communication with home, or sets minimum times for someone to 'graduate' or 'earn' leaving or having contact with the outside world, is a fucking cube of red flags.
3: There is no real industry outside of the 'schools' to speak of, unless you mean Resource Realizations and similar weird seminars that some big corps still do.
4: The reason these places aren't sued is because of paid off judges or how broken the victims are
5: The other reason these places aren't sued is how litigious these fuckers are. They play dirty. These fuckers tried to honey trap me 15 years ago for fuck's sake. An EdCon managed to sue someone for 'slander' to the tune of over 10 million awarded, even if she didn't collect.
6: Groups working on this include BreakingCodeSilence - which Paris Hilton is bankrolling and there's also drama from her orbiters, I wish I was kidding - which is also called Unsilenced, and that's basically it right now!
7: Drama among survivors is fucking incredible. Disenfranchised trauma and CPTSD is a bitch.
https://www.breakingcodesilencelawsuit.com/ https://www.breakingcodesilencelawsuit.com/jeremy-whiteley/ It's kinda nasty. There's also someone who got swatted for falling out with the clique on the Facebook group. Not sure if this is the same person!
7a: Actually, those cunts swatted a few people, saying that it was 'wellness checks', justified by vent-posts, though they were clearly looking for excuses to do so. Survivors shouldn't do this to other survivors, or at all, but look at what they were taught to do. I've also had multiple people tell me that they were asked to agree to hold BCS harmless if they were subject to "wellness checks". I have not seen proof of the
ask, but I know a few people, some for a very long time, and trust them not to lie to me. So, I suppose put "KATHERINE MACNAMARA" (Katie Mac,
NOT the documentary Katherine!) as a problem"
Katie, do better. Stop shitting on over half of the survivors and running off help you need and don't cry if your own bullshit has forced someone to TORpost on Kiwi fucking Farms to warn people about your shit. Moving on...
8: Because currentyear as much as because sex exists comma, men don't have much practice being this hurt or any kind of positive experience with showing vulnerability if they ever make the mistake of doing so. Women rule the roost in survivor groups for reasons that should be obvious despite being a minority of survivors. It's fucking toxic and the queen bees do what they do and literally orbit Paris Hilton. The Aristocrats! For what it's worth Paris is going to DC all the fucking time and bankrolling a lot, so there's that, and she's also not involved in the drama. Just her fucking orbiters. Cliques ruin everything.
9: Phil Elberg has gotten involved in lawsuits because he's that good, he's even in the Documentary. The problem is that these fuckers have more shells in their game than a fucking beach and they play dirty and have a LOT of money to burn in defense, in addition to operating out of states that shelter them, namely Utah, Missouri, and Montana.
10: Outside help is necessary here, particularly that of FUCKING LAW ENFORCEMENT!?!?! but until they stop sitting around with their thumbs up their asses this is what we've got, unless we want to have a very special Kiwi Ooperation or something. The thought of KF raising money to sue a program would be, in a word, the funniest goddamn thing imaginable short of Null and LFJ having a boxing match, but besides that, or myself becoming a public figure and doing so after committing the cardinal sin of saying nigger, faggot, or tranny on the evil dark web, I'm out of ideas.
If you want to know "OK FAGGOT WHAT DO I DO?!?!" It's literally JUST TALK ABOUT IT. Get people to watch the documentary. Talk to them, argue with them if they boomer out and say it's somehow tough love or OK in the end if they don't kill themselves or die in the program. Challenge bullshit and give a damn. Talk to people. Maybe go talk to survivors? Pinch your nose and go to r/troubledteens or one of the many Facebook groups. Plenty are non toxic and happy to share and tell people what's going on.
Sunshine makes roaches scatter. Actually ending the infestation would involve a law enforcement operation that would make a lot of heads roll all the way to the top - ROMNEY IS IMPLICATED HERE! Mel Sembler bought himself ambassadorships with Straight Inc money! Nancy fucking Reagan toured Straight! - or a civil RICO case that would be bigger than "Operation Family Secrets" going after the Chicago Outfit back in 07 or the FIFA affair from 2015.
Also, please don't fedpost. It's tempting, but we know that the glowfaggots (YEAH, YOU, FUCK YOU, I KNOW THIS IS MONITORED) are protecting their kickback source, not American children.
